I'd been a bit rushed yesterday and didn't leave my nutrient mix enough time to settle before adjusting it and adding it, checked 30m before lights off and....my ph was 4.1!
I've never needed to use ph up before since my water + nutes comes out pretty perfect and the shops were closed, so I frantically hit google and noticed amongst the many substances I didn't have handy, 'Potash'.
Made from wood ashes...hmmm.. potash...pot..ash...yeah you know where I'm going right? Stoner logic!
I rolled a nice blunt, poured a jug of water and smoked it, tapping the ash into the water and giving it a good stir, then poured it into my tank with about 5m to spare and hoped.
This morning my tank's at 5.8, plants looking happy and ec 1.35. Hell with artificial additives, from now on I'm using Purple Kush ash as my ph up!
