Well finally chopped my first grow down over aweek ago and got all this lovely trim left over.

Its nice and dried out now so Id like to try some edibles tonite. Ive done enough reading and it seems that decarbing is a good idea so i am going to start with that. Do i need to cover the material while in the oven?
it will be on parchment paper after being ground up, then placed in oven at 310 for 20mins.

Also do i need salted or unsalted butter? Ive seen a few different how tos with different information. Also since i do decab how long do i need to simmer in the butter for on the stove?

Any insight would be great. Got the night off work and wouldnt mind whipping something up!

Thanks

I think your temp for decarb is too high. I do 25 minutes @220, and I never cover it. I just spread out the powder evenly on tinfoil.

You can use salted or unsalted. I use salted when I do butter, but prefer organic coconut oil more than butter.

For simmering, I usually do 4 hours. If you don't have a crock pot, create a double boiler. Fill a pot with water, then put the product in a mason jar, and place the mason jar in the pot of hot water.
