Cannabis to Flowering - Please Help

This is my first grow. I started with feminized chemdawg seeds. I have been growing for 76 days and I have been in 12/12 flowering mode for 23 days. Should I be seeing more flowering? Or am I just being impatient?image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Make sure there are no light leaks in your bloom area. But it looks OK, the bud sites seeming to be more compact/shorting length's a good sign.

yes, imo, 23 days of flowering, you should be seeing some nice pistil set growing at least..

the do look like they've gone through the stretch phase, so flowering should start pretty soon.

Is chem sativa / indica dom? It looks pretty damn indica to me, which i would assume there to be larger budding by now, if so. Maybe that strain is a longer run-time indica than most?

If it's indica dom, it should only be like 8-10 /wk flower... for 3 weeks in, fuck, im confused... can you get a better shot?

Ya I am not sure why it is taking so long. Do I need to add more florabloom?

Here are more pictures. Any pointers are much appreciated.

Hi Commander. Sorry about that. I am using a secret jardin d90, no light leaks.

I have a 10inch intake fan and a 10inch outtake fan going into a carbon filter.

I have to lights in it led 600w and a regular bulb for heat. Lights off 66f lights on 71f.

The second picture here looks about right, im usded to a little more development than that. It looks like youre running a hydro system, what do you roots look like. Unhappy roots can slow growth significantly.

Sent from my LG-LS980 using Rollitup mobile app

The roots are white and packed in there. Should I do a complete water change? Also I have a water heater set to 70 is that too high?

your shit looks tight from what it looks like in the pics. I would say that for a first grow you are doing way above the curve. I imagine that some smart person will say something about genetics.

600W led for your first grow? What setup?

LED setups are notorious for delayed flowering response (and less flower development). The new designs are taking this into consideration and compensate for it.

The explanation for this is very technical and has to do with phytochromes. With led setups, %Pfr (percent of total phytochromes in "active" state) can get much higher than with HPS setups. When the lights turn off, %Pfr slowly goes down till it reaches 0, then its internal "darkness timer" starts.

When you shine light on the plants at night, %Pfr shoots back up from 0, and wakes it up.

Since HPS lamps can't get %Pfr as high, it takes less time to fall to zero after lights out.

Sorry if this makes absolutely no sense. Bottom line is LED's are tricky to make flowering work right. Vegging is always great though.

Shining a pulse of 730nm monochromatic light will actually force %Pfr to 0% in a few seconds (all the Pfr is converted to Pr, the inactive for).

If you check out the LED section, you'll notice a lot of the more experienced growers have a separate timer for the 730nm pulse to come on for 5 minutes after their other lights go out.

It's also worth checking wikipedia for "phytochromes" if you insist on using leds.

%Pfr = Pfr / (Pr + Pfr)

Edit: the "regular" light you're using for heat theoretically also helps to reduce %Pfr, as you know incandescent on their own induce stretching. That's why. Stretch rate is inversely proportional to the logarithm of %Pfr.
