Not to get off topic, but isn't it ironic how anti-cannabis laws were founded in the same category as anti-gun laws: racism?
(Go read about freedmen trying to take fencing lessons and getting guns for further proof)

It's the same devils over and over again trying to stifle individual personal freedom to protect, enjoy, and enhance each and every one of our lives that's been given to us. (Sigh) :cry:

the book is a great read, tell the story of anslinger and his crusade against weed in the us, as welll as it history, when how what for it was used and farmed etc.

I love how pot is always the boogey man of the times. In the early 20th it was bad because it made the "negros" uppity. Then in the mid 20th it was "Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing" And who can forget the classic 2001-02 commercial and the "I had no idea doing drugs supported terrorism" bullshit. Granted they never came out and said marijuana (and opium does support the Taliban) but I think it was to be inferred from the faces of the doey eyed teens on camera that it was pot, not heroin that they were trying to make the point about.
