I thought there would be more. I went to a few crowdfunding sites and found very little cannabis related funding projects. I did see a couple that I thought I would share for the betterment of everyone.

Cannabis Sanctuary: (I always thought a sanctuary was a good idea)

Weed Seeker (You submit what strain/price you want and a grower comes to you)

Business Seisure (government shut down his dispensary, took his cash)

Cannabis sanctuary looks like a good idea. They look legit. Why dont the weed listings make money? I just checked kickstarter and they are not getting funded. Weed seeker , I would use that one. Sounds like an original idea. I would list a wanted ad on weed seeker for $2/gram and see if anyone replies. lol

I dont know why they dont get funds. I read an article that said cannabis crowd funding is going to be huge in 2015-2016. So I went to kickstarter, indiegogo and some others. I looked to see what was out there. I saw some good ones and I thought I would give them some love. Some really crazy shit gets funded. I think you need to have a big social media following and use that to start getting the word out. I could see how some of these fellas have avoided social media due to the nature of their business. Maybe thats why. But I dont know.

I tried getting a kickstarter going.
Spent like 6 hours typing everything up and putting it all together and they emailed me the next day refusing to even post the project.
Not the type of project they want to be associated with was the response i got.

I have to ask now. What was the project about?

Oh shit! I dont get what the problem is. There is another weed resort that grow team posted "sanctuary". Why did they pull yours off? Sounds like a wicked idea. Vapor lounges stay open. Not like your selling weed there.

The dude that got raided is getting funded. lol never thought I would see a dude that got raided asking for cash on the internet and people giving it. Times are a changin.

I checked out weedseeker.net again. That could blow up if they make it correctly. I have a personal wish list already in my head. Cant find sooo many strains where I live. I think the resort would work well with weedseeker. Seeking a resort. Maybe you dudes should team up.

As soon as u say not for profit or that u want to help people investors shy away.
I had many investors ready to give more cash than i needed but they expected crazy returns and to get rich fast on my back and idea.
Everyone called me a dreamer for so long my desire for the project is gone.

Did you try indiegogo instead of kickstarter? Or another crowd fund site?

I like the concept. Maybe if you do a crowdfund to get it operating and then from there approach investors?

If i could get the place running i wouldnt need investors!
I thought it was a solid idea and i worked on the business plan for months but like i said all the negativity crushed my hopes of it happening.

I tried to post a kickstarter to start up a seed share but was promptly denied. At first they allowed it because I walked a fine line and didn't state that any of the cash flow would go towards cuts or buds. They told me it was all good and a few days later they deleted it.

All I wanted to do was setup a few rooms to pass around free seeds to the masses.

There's a couple of check court records sites that didn't have anything about Matthew... Thingy (not bothering reopening link on phone) and 1 for the registration of the company by Robert Schneider. I saw reference to 'other' raids around that time in an article about oaksterdam cannabis college being raided around the dates he mentions. I'm by no means saying the guys is a fraud, but something to back up his claims would go along way otherwise this could be a "I was just driving my pregnant wife, car out of petrol, need money" type scam
