Canna Nutrients

A FOAF just started using Canna Aqua A/B, Rhizotonic, and Cannazym about a week ago in a drip system. He changed from using General Hydroponics 3-part and Floralicious Grow. What he has said about the pH is that it is not a stable as what he was seeing with the GH. It keeps rising a bit, +.5-1pH, daily and is needing adjustment. With the GH, pH adjustment was not needed with weekly res change or was being fixed by the daily top off

I assume this could easily be fixed by adjusting the pH of the daily top off to 4.5-5pH, or maybe even lower.
Update on my FOAF's use of Canna:

After a couple weeks of the plants acting as though they were in a state of shock and very slow growth. They have come to life again and growing rapidly. This may or may not of had to do with the change over to the Canna nutrients but it seemed to occur at the same time.

The amount of growth that has come from the change over to these nutrients is tremendous. Not to say that the growth before using GH wasn't good, but it is at about double the rate that they were at before, and these are 3-4month old vegatative state plants that should be mature enough to not be hitting any growth spurts. At the rate they have started growing at, my FOAF hopes that the 6month veg he is planning on isn't too much for the room (LOL).

The Rhizotonic is doing wonders to the roots! They have reached past the 12" deep container they have been happy in so far and are starting to drink the nutrients directly from the res.

He has also said that the issues with the ph have stopped and that it seems to auto correct itself to 5.8-6.2

The only issue currently has to do with slight nutrient deficences. He assumes that the more he works with these nutrients and gets to know what ppm/EC the pants like, they should correct themselves.

I guess that's all for now, but I will keep you updated.

also using canna aqua line in DWC. good stable ph but it also helps to ph-correct the top off water and also use RO'd water. i like to fluctuate the ph from the low end to the high end of the acceptable spectrum. change res every 2 weeks. in between changes, at 1 week, top off with half strength nutes. all other top offs are with ph'd water unless EC is low, basically follow canna's online grow guide. foliar with boost for peace of mind in boosting as much as possible, mixed with penetrator. foliar with weak rhizotonic after trimming or pruning to reduce stressors.

BEAUTIFUL happy plants, big tomatoes! ;)

Just because someone's been doing it longer doesn't mean they do it better.

Who's been making cars longer, Ford or Honda? Who makes better cars?

Doesn't matter. Because how long you've been doing something only matters if it's something you can brag about in a commercial. How well you do something is all that's important unless your business hinges upon long-term stability.

If it's important to your growing today whether the company you bought the nutes from is likely to be around in 30 years then yes, how long they've been in the business is important.

People like to say Advanced Nutrients spends loads of money on advertising but that's not based on anything I've seen. They hardly advertise at all. Weeds - that's what you'll point to first. You'll guess (key word here is "guess") that AN spends a lot of money to get their product on Weeds but you'll just ignore all the articles we've read saying that Big Mike is a consultant on the show.

Consultants don't work for free. Probably doesn't cost them a cent to get their stuff on the show.

Maybe you'll say that the flashy labels cost a lot. Doesn't cost any more to print than any other color label, and it's a one-time cost to design.

I've heard all the crap and that's all it is. To date I've never seen anyone actually back up the claim that AN spends all this money on advertising with something real. It makes sense to me that the money is actually going where they say it is. Research, all the charity work they do, stuff like that.

But hey, everyone that buys AN is gullible anyway so why listen to what I think?
canna's products are of better quality and much more user friendly... why would you mix 13 products when you could mix 5 ?

AN are even thinking the same thing... they recently combined two of their products,( carboload and sweetleaf ) and now they are calling it Bud Candy!
Maybe if they really did use the highest quality ingredients and started combining them appropriately people wouldnt be soo bummed on their brand.

IMO AN is for the new grower who wants to "feel" like he's doin something special.

Canna and House and Garden Van De Zwaan are what give the best results imo.

You say AN isnt ALL about advertising!!! Well look at the label on thier new product "bud candy" !! It doesnt say a damn thing about anything! I want REAL INFORMATION not a story to sell the product! AN always has the lamest ads, I cant believe people buy this shit...

here's whats written on the label of bud candy:

IMAGINE BACK IN YOUR PAST WHEN YOU WERE A KID AT THE COUNTY FAIR EATING COTTON CANDY. IT WAS PURE DELIGHT THAT MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH LEAVING YOUR FINGERS STICKY AND GOOEY! THAT SWEET DELICIOUS TASTE AND THOSE SMELLS IT DROVE YOU CRAZY! NOT ONLY DID IT SMELL AND TASTE DELICIOUS YOU GOT AN IMMEDIATE BOLT OF ENERGY FROM ALL THAT SUGAR THAT RUSHED THROUGH YOUR VEINS! NOW ITS TIME TO BRING ALL OF THAT SAME GOOD AND SWEET STUFF HOME TO YOUR PLANTS!

haha wtf is that?
u would never see that bullshit from canna or anyone else... really!!

I agree i started off using hesi another dutch product but switched to canna after a dutch guy recommended them to me,
i uuse the whole regime and nothing else, and mixing 5 is easy as jberry said, their cannaboost flowering accelerator is a great additive for
flowering and it improves the taste, they are nearing their 30th year of nute production for weed,so it's not as if they don't have the experience, plus go to
growguide.info and enter in a few details and it will give you a printable feeding schedule from clone to harvest, which makes life much easier and
gives you one less thing to worry about,i grow in soil and canna are the only nutrient's i will use now,.................CANNA ROCKS!!!!

yea ive spent a lot of time and money on the boost and although it IS a really great product I cant justify the cost any longer. I havent noticed a huge difference since i stopped using it... really its the pk boosters that do the magic. try using it (at 4ml per gal. or so) from first signs of flowering until two weeks before harvest for waaay better results. The label on the canna pk 13/14 says to use it once for a week, 3 weeks b4 harvest, but using it the whole time will insure you hit the plant at the right time...

the above feeding method was approved by canna... when i asked them if it was okay they said it was the way to go...
I heard that they have started to change the instructions on the newer labels being printed to suggest using it longer as well.

actually thats what I did starting about 2 weeks of flowering I started the pk at 2-5ml per gal or so and it boosted em up for a few weeks I will use a little more of it soon.

What do you guys think about the Rhizotonic? My friend only bought the small bottle of the stuff and used it for a couple weeks and saw wonderful results on the roots. Since it is said to use something like 15ml/gal for a couple weeks then drop down to 5ml/gal, I could be off on these numbers. He is wondering if he should invest money in getting any more for this grow or just wait til the next crop. His root balls are so freakin' big at the moment that he is not sure if continueing with it is needed or will help anymore than it already has. I know your probably going to say the more roots the better but, he has vegged way past what he should, since Febuary, and these plants could use a bit of slowing down. He kinda freaking out about what they are going to do once he does start to flower since the are at about 40" and thats with tyeing everything down.

good stuff... i use it until a week or two before harvest at 2ml per gal.
get if you can, if you cant then im sure it will be ok. but its nice to have healthy roots and stress free plants even when theyre flowering.
+ there might be sum trace minerals, vitamins ect.. that may (or may not be?) helpful during bloom.
idk canna says use 2ml per gal through out the bloom so thats what i would do, or at least 1ml per gal.
if its a money thing than just use it every other day or at 1/2 strength to make it go twice as far.

TRY FOLIAR FEEDING WITH RHIZO ! ITS WORKS FAST AND AWESOME. (4VEG)

I have to say that I have been wondering if the Boost is worth the cost as well. I just used it for the first time and my plants look great but im not sure if its the boost or not. They say that it cuts down on your flowering time. How do you feel about that?

Im about to go with the Canna Agua series with the Rizo the PK 13/14, and the Boost. Instead of the canazym Im going with Hydrozym its the shit. I going to run Sweet as well. With Gravity and Snow storm. Then the last two weeks add in FloraNecter pinaple rush and banna manna. Last week when flushing will give it the boost, sweet, floranectar, and banna manna.

Im thinking that I will have some great results.

Do you flush every week with Canna? The guys at my hydro shop are telling me that I will not have to flush using there products.

yea, the boost may cut down on flowering time slightly...

i have to disagree about the hydrozym, i would say its more shitty than the shit and i know some other pros on here agree with me about that... i personally would go with cannazym, its a higher quality, its designed to go with your base nutes and the stuff smells sweet and good as far as nutes go.

i could be wrong but i think sweet and floranectar and bannana manna are all pretty much the same thing... sweetners. and Sweet, bud candy, ect. makes all your weed taste the same, which in my opinion can get old and kinda defeats the purpose of growing different tasting strains... -just something to think about if your growing different strains... they have 3 sweet flavors now, maybe you could do a few plants of each flavor? :eyesmoke:

for sugar products i would recommend "Honey Hydro Carbs" by Humboldt Nutrients and Bannana Manna.... and i would also use Sugar Daddy instead of floranectar.

no i never flush until the end of harvest...

your flushing idea sounds fine but i would still flush with plain water for at least the last 2-3 days before chopping down and i still dont think you need 4 sugar products, it may cause your rez water to get all chunky and gross (thats what happens if too much sugar is used) and it can even promote algea.

Canna is the shit.
I've been using them for the last few years.
There nutrients and additives have always performed well for me.
I use the Canna Substra Vega and Flores in my hydro running to waste set up.
I'm sure the Canna Terra for soil is just as good.
One thing I notice since using Canna is I get very little yellowing during flower because there Flores has plenty of N in it.
When used in conjunction with the Canna PK it's a great combination for successful problem free flowering.
Canna Rhizotonic is excellent for early growth and root development and I start my seedlings and clones on it from day 1.
Cannazym I run with the entire grow right until chop. It's a great mix of enzymes and vitamins that the plants love.
Canna PK 13/14 is the absolute best booster I've ever used. It's only used during week 5 but it makes a hell of a difference.

Check out my current grow to see the benefits of using Canna.
hello,
how is it going? Im using aqua canna nutrients .this is what im using for my first grow using bubbleponics/DWC. i wanted to know if its normal for there is my a yellow, white stuff on top of the water?also im having a hard time keeping the PH levels down they jump up to 8+ every 6-8?is this normal? and if there is anything you could tell me more about it canna that will be halp-ful

Hi i have canna aqua vega and aqua flores. Im doing a soil grow. Would it be possible to use theses nutes?

Canna Nutrients arent bad but I much prefer Advanced Nutrients.
hi there i see your using advanced nutes could you tell me if im ok using canna nutes along side few advanced nutes??? i ordered sensibloom 2 part and big bud for my flowering babies was then told wrong for soil and for hydro but i then bought canna terra bloom pk 13-14 canna rhizotonic with a canna flush would you recomend using the sensibloom along side the canna terrabloom?? ok to use the big bud along side ??? any info apreciated!!!! growing in soil in pots outdoer grow!!!

ROFL. Have you used Canna nutes?

The difference between the 2:
-Canna: A dutch company who has specialized in MJ nutes for the past 29 years. They need no special advertising, and they give top of the line results.

-While AN is your typical company who is pouring as much money as possible into advertising, and giving the consumer a VERY basic/average nutrient setup.

I wish I could find my new camera, and show you what lush is. I have been really babying my Utopia Hazes, and being VERY specific on their Canna feedings, and they are some of the healthiest, tallest, bushiest plants ive seen.

If you can't trust a 30 year old, Dutch, marijuana nutrient company, then I dont know who you trust...
Preach! My local hydro store owner the other day was laughing with me talking about how Advanced doesn't suck but for the price it definitely does, also I read that the Oregon medical board did tests on AN product line and the Nutes were Deficient as far as what the label claims it to have and was over doing it in other areas. They really are all hype, he was laughing talking about how happy he was to have the full line of Canna coco and Full on Canna nutes, He also just got H and G also, but I looked and they were on the shelf where advanced WAS! I said where did they go, he said and I quote " On the shelf in the corner with the other garbage"!!!! Thats coming from a guy that has to run test on the products he sells!!!!!

no shit? is this research published anywhere? like in a consumer report or something???? i wouldn't hesitate to say that alot of nutrient companies dont have the exact analysis of what is printed on the bottles. thats how industry works, within parameters...and as long as the content falls between the lower and uper limit it is acceptable. Do you know if there has been any comparative studies done on any other major brands????

Hi, I started off with CANNA Hydro Vega, and now have the complete set ie Rhizotonic, Cannazym, ...I substituted PK 13/14 For AN Hammerhead 9/18 (much better for Hydro/Dwc etc..) and Boost, and had AWESOME results minus a slight Mag deficiency..so I bought Canna Mag and everything was right as rain :) ...I have tried Dutch Pro but didn't like having to keep sorting out PH and EC levels as they fluctuated so frequently .. I've heard great things about ATAMI ..But have stuck with Canna, tbh Canna loves plants and plants love canna... I do stop feeding 1.5 weeks from Harvest and flush with normal tap water ...and the results are always outstanding :) - ZTELTHY :leaf:
