Canna Coco Brick Questions...

So I’ve always used loose Canna in the bags. That’s not an option for me as I’d have to drive 5 hours round trip for it now. So I must use the Canna bricks. What is everyone’s method for prepping it and getting it loose?

I’m on the first round back after a long stint away and the last problem I need is my Coco from the start.

I asked this question party due to Canna’s claims about the bricks being cleaned and buffered from the start. Going solely off Canna’s own instructions all that’s required is “clean water” and warm water to speed the process. I was hoping some folks with personal experience could vouch for that method or explain their own.

I still hydrate mine with a ph’d calmag solution and microbes, just like the bagged version.

I’ve used a few different types of coco brick.
I throw a few of them in a 7gal container
Every gallon=
(ph @5.8)
Calmag @ 2ml per gal
Ppms @ 250 each gallon
I like to get my hands dirty and squeeze the stuff while it’s soaking in.
Dump the rest of the water out if any and plant.
Right now I’m using eco earth reptile coco from petco and I barely put any effort in to buff. They look good to me so far

Put a large fabric pot into a tote and fill up with water. Let it hydrate for 30 mins. Lift the fabric pot out of the tote and place it on the ground, run a hose through the coco until the water comes out the bottom clear. Optional: Charge the coco with some low does nutrients/CalMag. Done hundreds of bricks like this.
