Canadian Forum needs to be split.

If the mods split the Canadian forum into two sections would you like that ?

  • Yes please get me outta here and away from MMAR fighters with a MMPR/LP forum.

  • Yes please serperate us from these LP supporter's with an MMAR forum.

  • No I like it the way it is.

  • I like to fight here

so none of your Dr's charge you to fill out forms? here in BC, they all charge for forms.
No they don't. Many do. Many also falsely claim that Health Canada won't pay for the appointment. Others are more honest and will simply tell you they run a private practice.

I don't look down on your anymore. I now don't care anymore if folks are stuck where they are. Enjoy ! Your on your own.
A new forum seems correct to me.
NO. It does not. You need to hear their side and they need to hear yours. This is how progress gets made.

Everyone could do with being less disagreeable about it.

I am in BC, and my doctor did not charge me for my MMAR papers. Presumably because he is compassionate and knows that I am not feigning an illness in order to get an MMAR.
He is also not pleased with them stripping the right to grow from patients.
Your story is the exception...I think more than the rule....
in the last few years of the mmar....where everyone was charging....regardless...though with exceptions like yours....
and really all it did take was a great relationship...with your GP and you have it made....
I came up against Doctor ignorance...with mmj and my GP...but my prescribing doctor....set my GP straight with an very long phone call....and some good old fashion logic....and I am category 1...qualified...

Did not pay for mine either. Just a regular appointment.

You simply need to find a doctor that has taken fights on in the past. Not so simple actually, but they're around. Some guys think it's bullshit and are happy to sign people up.

Most do/did charge a large fee though.

My doc charged me $500 for my mmar pinks but he needed copies of my full medical background. Hospitalization records and the laundry list of pharm meds from the pharmacist before he would even consider me or anyone else. So for all those people who think mmar patients are criminals who just walked into the docs office and threw cash down walked out with mmar lisence can fuck off. Oh and did I also mention that then you have to wait 3-4 months for health Canada to review your paper work and approve your mmar application

Fee for prescribed professionals completing Section 3 of the Persons with Disabilities Designation Application (HR2883) and Persons with Disabilities Designation Review (HR2883R) $75 per form
Persons with Persistent Multiple Barriers Fee for medical practitioners completing the Medical Report – Persons with Persistent Multiple Barriers (HR2892) $50 per form

we spent 2 years looking for a Dr to sign. we had my wife's pain Dr at St Paul's hospital get mad when we asked him to sign. our family Dr said no way-she had seen someone go downhill from "pot"
i don't know how many others we went to...i was very blown away to be turned down by so many Dr's. we had back up to support us. we had methods of use that were not smoking.
part of the problem with the MMAR and even the MMPR is that Dr's to sign are hard to find.
for someone to call us a SELL OUT is so far off base. to not have the room to grow so we can't "just do it" and anyone who was willing to grow wanted the pinks or no go.
everyone is different and situations are different. you can't paint them all with the same brush.

I'm in ON and have a doc with the exact same views as your doc. Now, he writes me out a script for the same dosage as my old MMAR. Too bad we are the exception! :(

My doc. Is the same way. He wouldn't hesitate to write me a script, for free, If I asked him. I don't have a licence, and don't need one, I'm a rec. user.
Doctors are people too, some are good people and some are not. When a doctor charges you per plant count you know the system is broken. It's hard to blame patients, DG's, or doctors for a broken system, and yes it was taken advantage with by many including doctors. It was a system that was forced onto an unwilling government, and it failed. It was broken and needed to be fixed. Has the MMPR fixed it? No. Soon it will be legal. Will that fix it????
I garentee that even then, people will still complain. While people in other parts of the world go to prison for a roach.
Everybody here is here because of our love of the plant cannabis, it has brought us together to fight? Or to be negative?
Out of all the communities I belong to, this one is the most negative. It's unfortunate.
One observation I've noticed is that most of the negativity comes from Eastern Canada.

Merry Christmas.

Well it's become pretty obvious and rather boring here really.
We have two camps. LP supporters and LP non-supporters. IMO it's time to create or divide the Canadian section into those two groups.
Maybe it's become boring because those of us who don't give a **** either way are sick of the whole topic and have moved on with our lives. You can only beat a dead horse for so long folks.

I had to pay for mine- $400+. After trying to find a compassionate Dr in a small town, I went through a mmj clinic. I also had to pay $195 to get forms done for CPP disability and smaller amounts for numerous other forms. I'm sure I could have spent the time and money to find a doc not scared off by HC, but it was worth the expense, imo.

At the end of the day, this place if here for us to butt heads. It's here for us to make friends and spread knowledge. It's also here to make "public" one opinion to the next!

Just remember everybody:

Words on a screen can only hurt so much. And usually when it strikes such a chord, there is truth involved.

Don't be so fucking sensitive.

The goat is getting impatient.
