oh sure but why spend............

throwing seeds in the garden and letting MN do her thing WORKS FAR BETTER..COSTS NOTHING
and IS LEGAL IN CANADA AFTER ALL
and oh did I mention cost of 2g's? lol
any moron can order a pound online .
.have it delivered in one day
and have enough AAA herb for an entire year..FOR FAR LESS AS WELL..ask a buddy ..neighbor who grows..so many ways rather than spendin
Thanks to Cannada post of course lol
Again there are much better ways. Even a 2x2 tent would be much better. But this comes plug and play and you can store the unit when not in use. You can maybe pass it off as a decoration piece. So discretion. Its is pretty portable. That may come in handy. Whatever works for our situation is the best. This may work for some.

Personally i wouldn’t buy this unit as i said but for some situations it may be perfect. Not all of us are legal and can turn a garage into a grow room. Some work in very constricted spaces. Ducting and hooking up fans may be too hard for some.

I see the price is 500. Throw in a 100 or 2 and you can get a 2x4 - 4x4 setup with qbs. That would be the way i would go.

The grow tent market has enough companies that theres a size for all applications. By your logic itd be worthy to buy one of those grow PCs youd see in High Times back in the day.

The point i was making WAS that it's a fucking monumental waste of time and money for very little return or ROI. Spending $1k+ to grow $200 worth of weed seems like pretty shit logic to me for something you'd get rid of once your skills progressed. You can get a far more viable set up for a smaller budget. One you can continue to use for years. :bigjoint:
My logic suggests everything has a real life application. For some, old pcs could be perfect. So whats the big deal? Everyone has their own way of growing stuff. You may not like something or find it not useful but that doesn’t mean that someone else couldn’t possibly benefit from it. Thats what i’m saying.

You lip-sticking up the pig doesn't make it better....it's junk. The smart guys here know it.
The thing is for duffus newbies. We've already paid that price most of us...so we laugh n laugh n laugh.
You don't get somewhere if you don't know where you've been ya know.
The thing is for kindergarteners.

Lol, that Grobo is $2199 plus tax. Even at 70g per harvest it would take you 2 years to pay that thing off in buds if you paid zero for electricity/nutes, and had a perfect grow that was done in 3 months every time. That's at five dollar grams.

For 1/3 to 1/2 the price you can get a 2×2 or 2×4 tent with a kick ass light, a real fan and carbon filter. You could grow 3/4 to more than a lb of dank and not get bored after your 2nd grow. You also won't be left with some toy that will end up in the storage space collecting dust.

Not everyone is trying to grow as commercial growers. You know that right? Finding space saving solutions or coming up with new products doesn’t make you dumb. You are dumb when you are closed to new ideas. Smart guys? Why not.

I stand by what i said. Its not a product i’d buy but someone does. Someone finds a practical application for it. If no one else, the inventor.

I'm open to new ideas just not stupid ideas. I can see what it is. I evaluated it in my mind and my mind say its "a cardboard playhouse" for those about to be ripped off.
Ya know just because it was invented and it exists doesn't make it worth while.
A small tent makes much better sense.
It's about the WORST thing you could buy. DUH
I've got lots of new products in my grow. Some good, some a waste of money.
I stand by my review.
Spend the money on something more worthwhile.

Good we are on the same side and standing behind our words.

From the start my objection was that you CAN grow weed in it. Like it is physically possible to grow weed inside that and good weed too.

Whether it makes sense to buy it or not. Not for me. Not for most. But there must be someone on this fucked up spaceship that could use this box to grow weed. Otherwise it wouldn’t have been invented in the first place :)

I know the design is problematic and there are many drawbacks. Actually every aspect of this unit is a drawback. We can focus on those. Saying you can’t grow weed in it, does not make sense. You can grow weed in pretty much everything.

grow some..lol
its a weed..https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weed
Weeds as adaptable species
"We've got to be one of the most bomb-proof species on the planet."
paleontologist David Jablonsky[2]

An alternate definition often used by biologists is any species, not just plants, that can quickly adapt to any environment.[2] Some traits of weedy species are the ability to reproduce quickly, disperse widely, live in a variety of habitats, establish a population in strange places, succeed in disturbed ecosystems and resist eradication once established. Such species often do well in human-dominated environments as other species are not able to adapt. Common examples include the common pigeon, brown rat and the raccoon. Other weedy species have been able to expand their range without actually living in human environments, as human activity has damaged the ecosystems of other species. These include the coyote, the white-tailed deer and the brown headed cowbird.[2]

In response to the idea that humans may face extinction due to environmental degradation, paleontologist David Jablonsky counters by arguing that humans are a weed species. Like other weedy species, humans are widely dispersed in a wide variety of environments, and are highly unlikely to go extinct no matter how much damage the environment faces.[2]

The big deal is the aspect of taking advantage of those new to growing cannabis who don't know any better. Anyone who has been growing for awhile knows that cannabis grows far too large for such a small space. Autoflowers included. Why spend all that time and effort for a near zero return and almost zero opportunity to learn how to grow each strain to its maximum potential?

What Im saying is for the same budget or less you can get something actually suitable for growing cannabis and get a crop worth investing time into. You can get tents that fit in closets and still get you 5.5-6' of height so the whole astetics thing isn't exactly as important as it was 10 years ago when there were a few tent manufacturers.

So if you could get something better suited for the job that doesn't look like it belongs in the fortress of solitude for less that would allow for production of more, how would these products be relevant outside of simply existing exactly?

Yeah. Right. No problem. I agree with it completely. But it exist so it must have a designed application.

And again my objection was not about if this is worth investing into or not. The objection was about can you grow weed in it. With 1-2 gal fabric pots. I can easily fill with 2-3 and flip in a week and grow good weed in it (with a little veg time in smaller pots).

I never said this is the only option to grow weed but it is suitable for weed growing as much as a hollowed out pc is suitable for growing. But this has more vertical space. Secret jardin was making these tiny tents 60x60x60. Don’t know what the dimensions are on these but it was shaped like a literal tent. Stupid design. Definitely no benefit to it. I bought it for my bonsai mothers threw in 30w of led, now seedlings, mothers and any other plant i grow starts there. That was dirt cheap tho. The design on this is a little bit smarter compared to SJ. But it doesn’t matter, you can grow weed in it is my point.

Here it is. This is much more stupid compared to that. They know it i guess. It was very cheap.

Anyway dudes. This has gone long enough. I know its far from perfect and i am in no way suggesting anyone to buy this product. Not at 500 bucks at least.

There are many downsides. Its clearly not lightproof. That carbon on those pc fans would last about a week in flowering. I don’t know can you refill them. Who knows. It is definitely not discreet enough. Vertical space is not suitable for satisfying results. It could double as another thing to make it more practical. This is just a gaudy decoration piece at its current state and the list goes on.

But if someone offers me for free of course i’m taking it.

ummm . IS IT NOW!?

let's hear YOUR THINKING YOUNG BLOOD...
It really is. The vertical space is a joke. 60cm. 15cm from lights, 15cm the height of the pots which leaves 30cm for growing at best. For flowering the smallest pot i can use is 25cm in height so that makes it worse. You cant position plants on the sides because of this stupid shape. Only light you can hang is a very low wattage led or cfls but there arent any hooks or a proper place to hang them from. The ducts are a joke. The one i have has only one opening for ducting and its 8cm in diameter so you have to do pc fans but you run cables from there if you go with cfls so thats out of question. Without ventilation you have to keep the flap open which means no light proofing and no odour control. Even with the flap closed there arent any means of odour control that you can utilize. Maybe ONA. And many more drawbacks. Truly an awful growing apparatus.

4x4 tent, 600 watt LED, GH full suite, 30 fem seeds, fan, timer, all for less than $500 on Amazon, well except for the seeds. Literally no reason to be paying $2,000 for that little white box. If you wanted a smaller than 4x4 then it would be cheaper.

This is right up there with the $249 200 watt LED I saw at Wal-Mart the other day.

A full hydro setup over here is about $1000 for a 5x5 tent with everything except the exhaust fan...
