was told the chemical composition of old school landrace strains that were good for hash back in the day is quite different from the home grown strains of today

i understand breeding has changed quite a bit are the old school strains still in existence or extremely difficult to source

Todays strains just aint cutting it for me

Ace has a lot of old school lines, most of them are worked with some selection.
I believe Ace has a couple indica hasplant lines, one of course being PCK, but i think Taskenti? Is a hash plant line. I dont have much interest in many indicas, so i cant help on how good those are.

But Kwik / RSC, if you can manage to get the invoice paid, and i don't believe there is any guarantee of delivery, but that is the only place I'm aware of for real sourced old school landrace, unworked lines.

Have you seen Authentic Genetics? I haven't bought from them, but their selection of old school stuff looks interesting.

I've ordered from the real seed company twice and both times went well. I was able to pay with PayPal and his shipping is stealth by default. It took a couple weeks to arrive into the US. I wouldn't order very much at once though.

This is something people often overlook:

A lot of the older regional landrace and heirloom strains are STILL AVAILABLE in those regions. You'll need to make contacts, renew your passport, book a flight/flights and go get em.

They're out there
Yes and if u or anyone gonna do this i ask you please do one decent thing do not trade them seeds for seeds cos genetic pollution is a huge problem dont make it worse trade them anything else but seeds keep the gene pools as they should be pure ghs and the like did enough damage already trade em veg seeds money whatever things they need not hybrid seeds

Nah it would likely be money/cash or something needed in that region. I wouldn't bring seeds on a trip to get seeds, lol

Landrace would be more like wild cannabis. Heirloom seeds would be more common. I wouldn’t trust it was a Landrace unless I received it from another trusted forum member from that area, friend, or personally. “Pollution” of the genome from the strain hunters or others people talk about will be breed away through its filial generations as it readapts to its environment. Mendel’s old 10’000 plant hypothesis has proven correct. A lot of the areas we can be sure Landrace varieties still occur are dangerous or war-torn parts of the world where outsiders do not venture freely.

You can't get them in the U S .But you can get them like Pop &Son said or order oversea and be ready to acclimate to your place of grow.3 year's.Did it with 100% Durbin from there. Grew 3 year's of seeding the best to get what i wanted. But worth it.Dixie

India land race exchange is where I would look for true landrace stuff. They’re super legit. Love looking at the pictures of them in massive fields of cannabis.

Its not wild really tho they been cultivated and adapted to there locales for centuries or in some cases at least thousands of years but its still got mans influence truly wild weed ie ruderal cannabis is low potency and even then is probably escapees from cultivated drug type cannabis that have reverted back a bit so even then not truly wild 100% just closer to it its a big misconception and there probably is no cannabis on earth that we havent played some influence in it seems according to what we know from science/history so far the good thing imo with landraces is there so varied even with some selection going on for god knows how long plus some landraces are really just old hybrids as well like the northern afghan/turkestani strains like mazari etc

I can agree with that. You may be interested in this, I popped some Mexican “reggie” bagseeds and I have a pheno on day 35 that looks like it could go 100+ days. Especially if not seeded. This is that phenotype. My thinking is along the lines of a Mexican Sativa expression. Also the leaf traits stand out. What do you think?
