Can you over pollinate a plant?
I pollinated my auto plant about 30 days ago and it just looks like there are so many little sacs and i cant tell if they are all seeds or if I did something to make it into a hermi.
I know when I pollinated her i used too much as I should have realized.

my concern is this is an auto plant and almost at its 70 day period and the seeds are very immature on the ones i can look at.

I will post pics later when i get home.

Put it this way you can't over pollinate the plant but you can over pollinate for your desired amount of seeds and available smoke as a result. Here's a suggestion for you next time. First ask yourself how many seeds do you want or need? If the number is 100 or less just pollinate a branch and the rest of your plant is seed free smoke and you have the next generation or so of seeds.
Collect your pollen, place in a glass bottle, dish something like that. Select a lower branch or two and with an artist paintbrush in an unventilated area dip the paint brush in the pollen and gently spread it across the pistils of the branches you have choosen. Next mark you branch with string of something so you remember which ones are which.
This is the easiest way I have found over the years and you can pollinate with as many different males as you want on any given plant just different branches. LOL always label you multi branches because you will get mixed up easily over time.

well thanks for the help Canefan- what I am concerned about and what I meant is - If a plant has too many seeds to try and produce due to being over pollinated will the seeds possibly fail to fully mature? also can that cause it to hermi?

cant over or under
one speck of live pol on one live pistil = one seed
if a girl gets gang raped by 25 guys and get preg only one of the eggs did it others just there and lost the race to the egg
no matter ho much is in there could be 1/2 cup

whatever you do leave the seeds til maturity takes 4 to 6 weeks i normally go the full 6 weeks and can still have a couple small baige green inmaturs
nothing wors then to have a bude loaded wt seeeds that are not matured and cut from plat
if my dusting schedule is off from my harvest time say gona go past i do a lower branc or two and if i have to havest plant -leave seeded buds connected to plant til seeds ready
must be clear on your priortys good bud or good seeds -sumtime you cant have both
