I use rapid rooter plugs, all natural. Yes you can clone in soil, wouldn't be my first choice though.

The amount of time you want to veg is up to you. Depends on how big you would like them to be.

I have cloned lots of times in soil. Its kind of an art.. very few succeed. I veg for about a month before i go into 12/12 :weed:

You can use air nowa days. lol. You put the clones in jiffy peat pucks. Peat Moss prettymuch. Seedlings and clones dont like the food untill they have established a root system. Peat pucks, hydroton, rockwool. Those have no food to begg with. SO you transplant when rooted and water with a B1 and a 1/4 strenght hydroponic mix. If your plant in organic you should hold off on the nutes for a while, untill they are proven vigorous or maybe even untill a flowering food is needed.
As for the 12/12... depends how big you want that ONE plant to be. they will grow upto 200% large when finished. So 8 inches tall would be about three feet tall when its cycle is over. If you want a SOG you should veg for 2 weeks or less. If you want big plants veg for 3-4 weeks. So if you want your plant to only be three feet tall. Veg for 7-10 days.

You totally can!!

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/296708-cloning-demystified.html

Its a 6 or 7 step process. Takes a few minutes to do, then a week for results.

Right now there is an experiment going on by a few people here (Hobbs in particular) where they take the fine fine roots left over from a harvested plant, and re sprouting them.

If all goes well, they have discovered a way to created hundreds of clones at once.
Is that right? :o Wow..will have to look into it.

Very interested, where can I get more info for root regeneration?

so i should not use a medium that has nutrients just a reg soil until it roots?

I use a regular soil mix without nutes. Too much nitrogen will inhibit root growth. If anything, I will put just a very small pinch of flowering nutes in the water. The clone will have sufficient food to build roots the first week or two.

Its called SOILLESS. PRO Mix hp or bx. or sunshine mix. You can put rockwell into dirt you know. Soil containes minerals and nutrients. Its bad for seedling and clones. Dont put them in pots yet either. do party cups.

Soil is bad for seedlings and clones? I agree that something like FF Ocean Forest is probably a little too hot for seedlings and clones but I put seedlings and clones in soil all the time with no ill effects. Seedlings have grown in soil in nature for eons. :weed:

Im not saying its bad to do it in soil. Im just saying its better to do it in soilless. It nature the plant dies and the seeds grow next season in the dead plant. And yes in soil to. I was talking mostly clones. Seedlings will grow in anything as long as you dont get them nutes for the first two weeks
