Can you clone a branch in bloom.

Is it possible to take branches say 5-7 nodes long and clone them without vegetating them. I've got an anti-wilt cloning wax to to stop them from transpiring but would they take root with only a 12/12 light cycle, 4 weeks into flowering? I was thinking I would ask RIU before I started experimenting. Its just that my mother has way to many branches and I have lots of room in a large crate for SOG.

if its a mother why is it flowering for 4 weeks? if you want to root the flowering cuttings you will need to put them back intoi veg mode till they root. cloning flowering plants takes atleast a week or 2 longer than normal clones. then you can flower them once they have nice strong roots. so id say total time from cut to flowering will be around 3 weeks to month atleast.

the latest ud wanna take a clone is 2 weeks into flowering.. but to put them into 12/12 while rooting is unlikely bcos theyd be spending be their energy flowering instead of throwing roots..and then die:peace:

They say yes It's possible but the branch will take much longer to root.If I were you I'd harvest then reveg.Leave some buds on the plants small shit that won't amount to anything as this is where your new growth will come from.Put it back into veg and feed with a plant food high in nitrogen and sit back and watch,it will sprout new growth!Hope this helps.

It was a mother for about a year but I'm sick of the strain so I'm changing to a new one next grow. I just thought I could thin her out a bit and get a small SOG going.

I've re-vegetated this strain several times to keep the genes strong but its time for a new strain. I flowered the mother along with her clones. She towers over the rest of the plants in flower at the moment which is why I wanted to thin her out a bit. I'm going to get her her own light on Friday hopefully. I'm struggling to light a 2m x 2m grow with 2 400's and 100w of CFL
