Can Someone Explain How To Make BHO

So I'm looking all over and I see tons of different ways to make BHO and most of them don't explain very thoroughly so I guess I'll just ask... I know how to do the whole process up to blasting it but I don't understand what you do with the liquid that comes out of the tube? I see some people saying use a vacuum chamber (I don't have one so give me a method that doesn't use that please), some people saying to put it on heat, some people saying a hot water bath, some saying both, and even some people saying just to let it sit in a room temperature room or out in the sun...
If you could tell me a way that doesn't take hours of me baby sitting the stuff that would be great so like if you could do where you just put it out in the sun that would be great... Or if there's a way to put it on a pan and heat it on a low heat or something... Any help on how you make this crap would be very much appreciated!

First off, I only do ethanol extracts and I make e-cig juice out of it. I've never had BHO, wax, budder, etc or used a nail. With that said, as best I get it, some of the vac chambers and whatnot are to make particular products. Shatter, which I guess is the thin crisp stuff, seems like something that vacuuming would create. Budder is somehow mixed up to fluff it. You get the idea.

What comes out after blasting is a combo of butane and good stuff. I am being simple. You need to purge out that butane as you don't want to consume it. So essentially you are evaporating it. Heat and light are not good. So you don't want to use high heat, leave out in the sun, etc. A coffee cup warmer works. Water baths, oil baths etc accomplish the same thing with better temp control.

Key thing - read up on it whatever method you use - you need to get the butane out. That's one reason why I use ethanol, it is safe to consume.

I am sure my ignorance will give some a laugh. Boring old stoner here who is out of touch with the market.

I'm with you there, I'm an old guy that just likes smoking bud - to each their own.
But I have tried (three times only) some wicked BHO that was made into a brittle taffey consistency - the shit dropped me like a cheerleader drinkin a 6 pack.

I think I'll stick to my flowers.

If you make bho. Let it reduce
Dissolve it in warm everclear, chill alcohol, watch waxes precipitate over 48hrs, filter while cold. Evap alcohol.
Purges butane, gets rid of some harshness especially while your adjusting to concentrates

Less heat the better, less light the better. You may have to warm your pyrex so pieces dont chip and fly everywhere.

Is it normal for it to form... a... milky looking liquid as the alcohol evaps, or did i fuck up somewhere?

i need a hand here as well.
i am working very simply-glass tube to put trim/bud in. i run 5x butane-London is the brand-i run the butane and let it evaporate outside over hot water in a pot. when it's done like that i bring it inside & have my stove on 2 to keep water hot and keep stirring the crap out of it. my problem is that i am able to get a taffy consistency and that's it. i have used t5rim and it is more amber but same consistency. i have used to shelf bud and get a more golden colour but same taffy.
i have stirred it for over 30 minutes but it doesn't get to a hard crumbly that i have heard of.
i don't have a vacuum unit so i can't do it that way. just a pie plate, pot of boiling water, herb, butane and metal stirring stick along with time.
has anyone done it this way? if you have, am i doing something wrong? if so...what??
Thank you

I Blast directly into ethanol. Once volume is back to original ethanol volume goes into a mason jar and into the freezer 48hr. stain through coffee filter. Thin film into dish. Then purge off alcohol at room temp with a fan circulating air, then heat with a heating pad for about an hour after a 48hr purge to scrape up. Easier to scrape without shattering everywhere that way.
