can some one help me find a way to raise humidity at a low cost?

i have a closet set up. i have one 6" vortex with my air purifier to control the smell. this vortex fan is hooked up to my 600watt hps light. i run my light from 7pm-7am some days i have to run my intake vortex 6" fan to bring cool air in from outside. so most of the time it is vented any ideas please help if.

Wet towels hanging in front of the fan is how I do, but if you're not around to keep them wet every 5-6 hrs, then trays of water (large surface area) will help a little.

A small cool mist humidifier from Wally World does the trick too. Or from any drug store.

I thought that one was too easy. LOL

That going to be tough to accomplish , a 6'' vortec exhausts a lot of CFM =cubic feet per min. in a closet with that much exhaust (air exchange rate) your most def in neg pressure, any thing you put in will move out pretty quick ,it will take a lot of moisture to raise the RH level in your space.

i was wondering if i could hang some wet socks up right under my HPS hahahah i have some chains that are hanging under it it the slack i have from the chains i use to hang hps light?
@jrainman atm i have one fan of and its 79F should i put fan on a timer to turn on and of. it sucks in cali because the weather changes i live in OC. we expect rain so temp out side will drop down to low 50 and in 4 days it will be around 80 lol

what you would need to do is make what is called a Swamp cooler, ,What you call your Intake air , (supply Air) where the air is drawn in go out and buy a foam air filter . one of those cheep air filter thats made of a foam type material attach to the intake and run constant water over the filter ,maybe a res small pump and some type of spray head to keep the whole area of the filter constently wet , this will give you a higher RH and also lower your intake air ambient temp by 4 to 8 degree

Oh one note about using swamp cooler type systems the recurcuting water will evaporate and also it can promote mold and or bacterial spore so I would change the water daily or treat to prevent this (leigionair desies)

can u send me a link to where i could find this or know what it looks like. so you are saying to attach this and have water running through the filter. wont that spray water out of the filter.
