i have a seedling in plastic cup that seems to be doing great so far. nice and strong. roots are creeping down the sides of the cup. its in a clear cup so i can see, then i put it in a colored cup to keep away from light. its just getting its third set of true leaves it is one week old yesterday. could i move it to dwc safely and if so should i wait longer or is now ok ? thx for any help

cool thx everyone i had a friend tellin me to wait. i will be movin them later today. cant wait thx again

That should be more than ample to move them into a DWC system. When your washing the roots, make sure it is distilled water because the chlorine and other metals in tap water is not kind to the plants fragile new root system, in addition to the temp of your water as close to room temp as you can so as not to shock the plant. Moving it from soil to DWC already promotes a stagnant period of growth (hydroshock) for a day or two so try to minimize damage as much as possible. With your fingertips gently move the roots back and forth through the water, shaking off all excess soil and when transferring into your new DWC system, make sure that either your solution or some kind of 100% humid vapor is able to get to your roots so it does not dry out in the first day of the plant trying to access its new food source. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

if i were u would i woulda just kept them ina paper towel or the cup and as soon as the seed cracked i would put it in rockwool and thrown it in my bp system.....i would never wait that long. waiting to move it to ur system is just making it harder for them to have a good transplant. so get them in there asap and let us know how they are doing....and remember be light on the nutes
