Can seedlings get too much light??

I threw my seedling under 600W MH light and this morning i noticed they look almost burned? but I know it didn't get hot enough to do that, so maybe too much light?
The seedlings are about 3-5 inches tall.

I just use 15w t8's on my seedlings. Then once they start to get real leaves I bump it up to 200 watts of cfl

You sure it is not nute burn? Maybe you could pull the light even further away from the seedlings to reduce the strength of it. Google the inverse square law it helped me figure out lumens.

How far away from the top of the seedlings to the top of your light>

How many sets of leaves do the seedlings have? And how far is the light away from the seedlings?

The seedlings are at their first calyx leaves is what I think they're called. And the light is probably 3 feet away ~
It should not be nute burn, they are all in a seeding moss.. And I have not given them anything. (But bottled water)

Also I moved the light away just in case, it's probably about 5 feet away now.

They can get OD'ed on light, just like people get sunburned.

They can also get heat burn / damage.

But it's 2 different things
