Sup guys.. so I finished building my stealth grow cabinet and it looks pretty good.. only problem I have like always is keeping temps down.. I have an exhaust fan that’s more than enough for my little grow space, oscillation fans and air vents for passive air to come through. First I figured it was because my intake hole wasn’t bigger than outtake hole so I made it twice as big like it should’ve been. temps still reaching 85+.. I feel like I’m doing everything right but still no results. It has to be another way without using an air conditioner ‍♂. Only thing I think could be causing this is too much light ‍♂ Any suggestions would be love .... oh I have 2 450w LED lights inside a 2.5 x1.5x3 ft area ... 2 4 inch ventilation holes along with the one in the middle.C6B3DB46-B17E-4706-A931-E0E928E62AB9.jpegFA067239-B7C9-4494-8DEB-B069E3D184BA.jpeg

85f is warm but not too warm. The temperature outside in summer here in New Zealand gets up to & above 90f & NZ outdoor weed is pretty good quality. I struggle to keep my room below 88 in the summer even with AC, but they still thrive

You are going to need at least 12" between the canopy and your lights ... the housing of the blurples is a tad less than 4" ... you need about 3" clearance above the light to allow the waste heat to be sucked away from the heat sinks by the cooling fans ... leaves 17" for the plant and her pot.

A small mainline grow might work. Just keep the canopy as low as possible.

As for the lights ... you might be one light over the line, Sweet Jesus. 450 watt blurple probably equates to 210 real watts. Blurples tend to drive the diodes at a hair less than 50%. 210 watts in 3.75 square feet gives you 56 w/sq. ft. One light is already on the upper end.

Who makes those lights?

Hold on to one of them Viparspectra Reflectors cause they are great VEG lights. I still use their V600 Reflectors for VEG. Run it lengthwise in your grow space - should be enough to cover the entire area. But removing the second light will reduce your heat.

The V450 will do an OK job in flower - you will get frosty nugs right under the unit. But if you find that the blurple is not quite cutting it, look into other LEDs - something like an HLG QB96/QB288 RSpec or the Timber Daisy - when you go for flowering.

Don't buy anymore blurple lights!

I do not recommend the qb96 for your cabinet as they get hot as fuck if you are trying to get decent watts out of them. Could you not buy a small tent OP and put a clothes rack in front of it or something? I wish you all the luck but you’re really gonna have to find a very short flat pot, and tie your limbs down to the pot.
