Can Marijuana Be Grown With Just Water And Light? Does it need soil/nutrients?

Just curious, cause I just see it as, the plants use the sun to make food, and the water to stay alive, where do the nutrients come in to play?

I suggest you do some time reading in the grow faq's bro. But to answer your quetion. They need water, nutrients and sunlight.

once they run out of whatever was nourishing them stored in the seed, they need material to grow.

in nature they get their nutrients from the soil. Its not like back in the day someone was feeding them extra supplements... They survived alone, water and soil. thats it.
