Can I vent under stairs to over room?

I live in a tri level/split level home. This is you classic mid to late 70's home. Many of you might live in something similar. When you walk in the front door you can either go upstairs or downstairs. Go down stairs and there is a door right at the bottom separating you from the downstairs. Go trough door and turn right. Make another quick right and you come to a door to a room that used to be the garage. It is now sealed off and is finished. Inside the finished garage, to the left is a small room that is about 5'x5', it has a door and is sealed and finishes as well. the rear wall of this room is same wall that is in the entry. My idea is to cut a hole in the wall of this room inside of the sealed garage and vent the heat under the stair and to an adjoining room that is separated by a hall way and a door. I have attached picture.

Why dont you think you can do it?

The space seems there but with all the pictures sideways it was a little difficult to visualize.

Yea little too baked with them sideways, but I don't see why you couldn't. Just have to think of wires and studs. Do you own it? If you don't then it's a whole different question to me I guess.
