Can I top a side branch when the lower branches underneath where I want to top are...

Very small?

Hi guys I have a s.a.d from seed under 85w cfl 6400k in a pc case and it is a very nice looking plant, I fimmed it early on to get 4 main colas and the top 2 colas i've already topped but the 2 lower colas I now want to top only has very small young branches starting to grow underneath where I want to top so is it still ok to top them?

I would suggest you to let them grow a little more since it takes strength for them to recover.
Honestly, I don't know if I'm right or not, I haven't posted in ages but I'm just trying to help a fellow grower.

Thanks for the response man, on the upper 2 colas I let grow out a good bit before topping and they didn't seem to slow down or stunt growth at all, i've only ever fimmed or topped when there's been a good bit of growth before which is why I want to know if I can do it now. I think I might just leave them for a while and then top, my plan in the pc case is to have 8 little buds with an 8th on each hopefully so an oz in total and for flower i'm getting a 125w 2700k cfl. I have a 65w 2700k cfl but I wanna get more out of it. I'll get a photo of the plant and upload it, my first time training a plant and I think i'm doing a good job already.

The four soon to be buds in the middle are from the 2 colas at the top and now I want the bottom 2 colas to give 2 each so that makes 8 all together, also if I let them grow longer I can get 2 further at each side, the 4 in the middle will be getting slightly opened up more as well into a net.

Let them grow out more if you want to top or fim them.

Thanks man, i'll no doubt just have to fim and then remove the lower branches early on in flower before they grow into where I don't want them to. The side branches I want to top are on something like their 4th - 5th node and I only want 2 tops from each of them.
