Can I scrub the incoming air as well as the out-going air ?

I'm wondering if the possible downside to this will be that the incoming air will lose C02 by going through a carbon filter before entering the grow box, I've always used one carbon filter for outgoing air.

Another reason I want to do this is for air borne dust spores, particulates, and bugs to be minimized in the incoming air if not totally eliminated. Also thinking it will prolong my outgoing carbon filter's life by having to scrub air that's already pretty clean of dust and air borne particulates.

not sure i would use a carbon filter on the intake, any filter like that blue prefilter they wrap around the carbon filters would work just fine.

You don't filter the intake air with the same type of filter as the exhaust air you get a particle filter that filters out little bugs and spores. It looks like a box that you connect to your intake inline extractor BUT put it on the right way.
