I would like a soil plant but I’m busy w hydros

I’m wondering is there a soil out there I can use for the whole auto flower life cycle so I don’t have to do anything, (maybe add tiger bloom)..

can I use fox farm ocean soil or any recommendations on a hands off soil brand?

Try mixing your own autoflowering soil with the following recipe:

  • 3 parts compost.
  • 3 parts peat moss
  • 2 parts wet perlite
  • 1 part wet vermiculite

Depending on the size of the container, you can get several weeks out of the FFOF, but you'll need to amend on the second half of the grow.

Yes. Near as I can tell marihuanas is hard on the soil, like tobacco. The plant depletes faster than replenishment. Out in the wild crop rotation. In captivity to maximize they'll need supplements.

RTU ( ready to use ) bagged medium like Fox Farm Ocean Forest is nute dense enough to do all preliminary feeding upfront - for weeks. Since you mentioned autoflowers - it is one of the easiest / uncomplicated ways to run an autoflower ( or photo ).

Autoflower plants can run within 100 days ( average ) with some Xl and “ super “ exceptions. But , as plant acclimates / feeds / exhausts its base medium ( fox farm ) all you have to do is “ recharge “ it occasionally by means of either more fresh soil on top ( topdressing ) and watering it in or adding a good dry fertilizer .

That can be a simple 4-4-4 / 5-5-5 general purpose fertilizer .

Fox Farm ocean forest is prebuffered and will run on tap water. No leaving water out for 24 hours or other nonsense. You don’t “ gas off “ your water when you water your outside plants or grass.

Topdressing / watering it in - will keep container recharged and plant on same thing it is already accustomed to. No guessing .

Note : Some plants / seedlings might be overwhelmed in the beginning with ocean forest ( slight burn / etc ) but add nothing - allow plant to acclimate.
