i am just curious how people feel about trimming back big leaves so the under branches can grow bigger faster? my plants are just over 5 weeks and only have a few small branches started with a set of small leaves or 2 is this normal for a plant this old? there under a 1000 watt MH currently since the 23 so only a couple weeks. let me know your opinion please.

the plant on the left has not had any leaves trimmed and the one on the right has had a few trimmed because the kitten got to a few of its leaves. the pics are from today and its a little droopy i might have over watered a tad. but pic on the right the lower branches are more developed.
