Can I flush my plants if I just put them into flower 5 days ago?

Some of my plants have too much nitrogen. I just put them into flower on the 31st of last month. I have not once flushed them from veg til now. Additionally, I have some gnats in my garden. Can they cause harm to my plants? I have laid some of the yellow sticky paper in the pots, but there are more of them hanging around. I'm going to be spraying them tomorrow with some SNS Gnat stuff that I've got. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the gnats are from letting your soil stay too wet.. simple cure, let them dry out a bit more between waterings, and the gnats should go away.. and no, they won't hurt anything, just a pita..

and sure, flush your plants if you think they're overfed, shouldn't be an issue..

Yes u may flush. But watch the ph. If ur water is alkaline make sure u put some ph down so ur plant wont get sick. Peace

What does "if ur water is alkaline" mean? Sorry, I'm a rookie grower at best. I us R/O water and PH it to 6.5-6.8. Please advise. Thanks

Sorry. If u use tap water its either alkaline or acetic. Meaning if alkaline its probably in the high side. Of 7.5 and greater. So u shouldnt have a problem. If you water is in the high side and ur plants medium is acitic w hen j measure the drop off water. Ushouldnt have to use any ph up. Just a good flush will work. But if ur water is neutral like urs. And u want to adjust ur ph cuz the run off is acetic than u might wanna use a ph up along with ur water.

Nice! Thanks for the help =) Also, I have how many gallons of water do you think it will take to flush 14 20 gallon pots? I'm going to also use Fox Farms Sledge Hammer. Should I add any nutrient solutions to the flush, or just PH the water after adding the Sledge Hammer? Thanks again

Regarding the gnats...I had a few and someone here had advised a HotShot No Pest Strip. It worked like a charm. Get them at Home Depot for about $7.00.

I don't flush 2-3x size of container expecially in big pots, if u in 20 gal n u think you over fert u can prolly get away with givin each plant 5-10 galons each depending on what's goin on in your soil..
