Can I do a winter greenhouse?

I live in a remote area. I have done a few successful outdoor grows, but I would like to know if anyone has actually grown in a greenhouse in the winter with minimal electricity. (We are on a generator) Indoor would be so expensive on gas, I would like to get some ideas, preferably from someone who has actually done this. We do get cold here with snow on the ground maybe a week out of the whole winter. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

i think it would work just fine, and it would be a great idea to have that cold outside air as intake

sounds like a winner to me, make sure that generator has enough amps

from the stove?

if you are talking about the natural sun, you can use artifical lighting
the guy already stated that's out of the question as they don't have electricity. Questioner, I think your SOL because of that, the light will be too short a day to veg. The best you could hope for is stretching out your flowering season for real late maturing strains like Haze. D J Short's Flo will multi crop in a greenhouse.

he never said anything about not using artificial light, he just said he is using a generator therefore he has limited electricity

anyways

if your generator is over 2000w, you will do fine with 1000w HPS, and air cooled from the outside air, which should be nice and dry, allowing you to control humidity just by adding a humidifier or what not
