Can I clone this plant yet???

Possible to clone yet? or still too small? Sorry for the large pictures... i figures you guys could use it to help me try to clone these (thier all females). i wanna use my new hydro setup

When cloning you want to make sure the branch you are taking off has atleast 3-4 nodes on it, that's how you can make your decision, plus probably be best to be round 3-4inches in length with 3-4 nodes.

seems like a good answer to me, the branches you take have to be long enough, many great threads on taking clones here and all over the internet. Many step by step instructions on how various people undergo the clone taking process.

and no, they don't have to be 3-4 inches long. 1-2'' can be done easily.

The problem with 1-2" is you have to cut off the clone right below the first node and that leaves for little room to plant the clone in dirt, maybe if he is using a bubble cloner or an aeroponics cloner 1-2" would be fine probably. But i think he is using dirt. anywho, great replies guys and have fun!

not true; you can cut a half inch below the node and have no probs. most of the time roots grow from the cut rather than a node anyway, so burying more than one node is almost pointless.

also im going to be using my new hydro setup... bubbler + mist inside the tank. and i can use rockwool cubes for the clones? then just plant in netpots?

if you look at your pic, you'll see two apical shoots (two main and dominant tops). those are your branches ready for cloning

you can put clones straight into medium to root, or preroot them in rockwool. i personally have a dislike for rw, and clone straight to medium in a bubbler.

so can i just use cloning gel.. put em in moist rockwell and let ir root?

just curious... its said that a plant wont survive when u transplant from soil to Hydro in the use of hydroton balls. well then cant i just cut the main stem? and act as if i am cloning? i know its stupid... but if you can clone with that method i dont see how a from soil to like a hydro bubbler in hydrotons could hurt? somone plz give me some info.

Am I the only one that sees this as still being a very young plant, way to young to even have sexed yet?

Hmmmm, okay no 12/12.....looking real young......yea I need to see pics, Really bro what I think your see is leafing. Many new growers mistake this for private parts.

let them grow for a while longer . there can be clones taken but it would be very stress for such liitle girls..they look like they just started to grow fast give them 2or 3 weeks and you will be able to take several clones.. and if you are new to growing i would stay with soil it is easier..

or they could be pre flowers

Either way they just look really young to me.
