Can ANYONE tell me if this thing is ready for harvest!!?!?!

So this plant has been rooming around these forums since about the end of August. I know crazy right? That's why I'm so anxious to see if its FINALLY ready. Thank God I have some autofems following up right behind it! I need this thing out of the box! The only thing that disturbs me and others on this forum are the white hairs! This is a local strain called Fruity Loops Kush and i can't get a hold of the Guy that gave me the damn seed... !

Anyways, I have a couple pics here..... One of a bud I harvested (it was 80% white hairs before harvest and 20% orangish). After drying for 2-3 days and curing in a jar for 5 it looks good, doesn't smell the greatest, but it gets
better and better EVERY day..... Nonetheless less, the hairs changed orange in the drying process.... The buds have swelled tight on the plant..... The trichs are ALL cloudy, with a few amber thrown in here and there. I think these puppies are DONE!

I just want a second opinion .... Thanks for any answers or comments ahead of time. Can we please not bash tho?? Thanks! Lol

The bud dried and curing....

The plant and upclose shots .... I think? Lol

GOD, IF I HEAR, "ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO AN SHE'LL BE GOOD!". ILL FREAK OUT!!!!!!! LOL

the hairs are still too white. it must be a super long flowering strain. It looks done though but i have learned that when the hairs are still white, the pods they grow out of are still thin. When they dry it will be thin buds if you harvest now. i made that mistake twice, but if your hairs are 75% brown then it's time. Also, if it's sativa and the trichs are amber, then it's okay to harvest even if the buds are thin. sativa's usually are thin but potent.

Hard to tell from a pic, but looks damn good! Best rule of thumb, and this is out of George Cervantes Grow bible, once 2/3 - 3/4 of the hair are dark put the plant in total darkness for 48 hours to force it to finish.

!i!Happy Harvesting!i!

something is going wrong ? they dont look anywhere near done yet, but if you see amber they are done.

it really looks to me as if its starting to re-veg ? are you 100% your not getting light in the dark cycle ?

what light are you using ?

the only true way to tell is the trics , if , with a scope you can see amber then they are done.

Do not base harvest time on the hairs. Some strains will keep producing and have white hairs long past harvest time. Trich color is a better option to use, and I don't even go by that anymore. After a few grows yu sorta just know. The buds really plump up, get a slight amber hue, you just know. If you change strains alot, then trich checking would work.

This I think is the correct post... You need to read up on some shit. The hairs are coming out of giant cylaxs (sp?) And every damn trick is cloudy with amber spurts here and there. I think I MAY let it sit for another week though - because the damn "crystals" are coming on like crazy. I just harvested ONE bud a second ago that seemed very compact, after its dried and curing ill harvest the entire plant (3-7 days) hell, it can't hurt! This has definitely been a long strain but I'd love to do it again outside one day. It would be PERFECT TIMING from April till beginning of September! Thing would have been a BEAST in my garden outside (awesome organic soil, 3 ft deep! Can't wait for spring!!) Nonetheless, the hairs turn redish/whitish/orangish after properly drying and curing so I do NOT believe hair color has anything to do with this strain atleast! I'm just waiting for that smell to kick in, every day it gets better and right before I'm "done" with the curing process, I hang an "orange ball" in the jar for about 6 hours and then seal it up tight and let it soak in that smell. Btw an orange ball is nothing but baked orange peels on 300 degrees for about 10 mins. Pull em out, cut em up finely and throw them into a coffee filter. Tie the filter off into a ball with sewing thread and leave a little piece to hang off from the closed container. Hang the ball in the jar for about 30 mins before taking it out and smoking! I'm tellin u man, I've done it, I'm doing it and it WORKS. Sometimes I even leave the orange peels to soak in lemon juice for about an hr after being sliced up! It gives that sweet skunk, dank aroma an even MORE citrussy, smelly, tasty wonderfulness! But BE CAREFUL as this can put TOO much moisture into the jar. You gotta balance jar size, bud quantity and "orange ball", If u try it you'll see what I mean. There's a way to master it where it'll master every bud around!!!!!!

Thanks for yalls comments, look forward to many more on this harvest!!

Uhh. Ok. I think I need to read rather than know what I know.?
What? No dude... I agree with you, sorry I went back and read that and it DOES look like I'm talking to u! Sorry bro! I agree with the white hairs not being a sign of maturity.... I think the trichs is right on point!

The reading up on shit was directed towards the other 38 ppl that say "look at the white hairs tho! ". When they have no idea what it looks like under 100X zoom!!

Hairy beast isn't she? If all the trichs are cloudy then she's ready. From my experience the hairs should turn more and the leaves brown more. I think she is still producing and dumping energy into THC, personally I would wait another week. Sorry.

LoL, It's funny, you ask us if your buds are done by looking at a photo.. All we could do is see the hairs and the general makeup of the what the unmagnified plant looks like.. Now your gonna talk shit about the people tryin' to help you out.. A really simlpe answer is all you requested, if you want we can go into genetics and plant biology and trully get to the root of your problem.. Nobody on here knows the full story of how your plants got to the point there at, so of course we can't answer your questions exactly without looking at the plants at the least, just take peoples advice with a grain of salt and you have to decide who's right.. BUT, for Gods sake don't go insulting the people who are just trying to help!i!

Yeah yeah, to answer all of those questions.... Insults, remarks or w/e... I harvested exactly 5 days after that photo (including flushing with ice water and ice on top of soil at night and a 48 hr dark period) the trichs were ALL CLOUDY with about 15% amber, I like more of an upiddy buzz anyways. But she would not have exploded with "crystals" and gorgeous white/Amber hairs and giant cylaxes without the icing and dark period - she just wanted to be a stubborn bitch (like most females) ! That's all it was... Once I mocked winter on her ass she "got right" and finished up REAL QUICK!

ALL that being said she got hacked today and here's the verdict - 83 grams wet of some skunk's ass smelling shit! (To all u haters with ya ounce saying ass' :P ) lol jk.... It was a nice harvest and a great learning experience, throughout using this thread and my own "ah ha's! " I learned a lot on my FIRST indoor grow from start to finish! And I never bashed anyone? Just thought it was odd that everyone was comparing MY FRUITY LOOPS KUSH with a WHITE WIDOW!! Dude, doesn't matter HOW LONG I wait, I'd never have a bud caked in crystals from this strain! I've said it once and ill say it twice though, this plant would've never finished without faking it into thinking it was winter.... That's no BS. TRUST ME! And I DID TELL YALL THE TRICH COLOR!!

Anyways the buds are hanging out to dry now.... Oh and these were grown using about 275 Watts of CFL including a small T5. And yes, that's actual wattage and not equivalent. I also use both spectrums in the CFL department, both 2700 and what's the other? The "soft white bulbs"? I think 6400?? Anyways, I use both for veg and flower, all's I do I'd 20/4 then 12/12 when I'm ready or its shown sex. I also use ALL organic nutes, ferts, soil, etc..... And it all paid off! Now i can have my outdoor crops during the season AND autofems pumping out consistently year around... I'm not doing another long strain indoors after this Northern Lights/Skunk Hybrid is done (working on her 4th set of L's), that's for damn sure...

I'm done, peep the pics.... Lemme know If you want to know my "cured weight" and ill post! SWALLA BACK! TONIGHT I HACKED!!

BEFORE THE "ICING ON THE CAKE"!!!

AFTER SHE WAS BUTCHERED AND LAID OUT (DIDNT HAVE NO ONE TO HELP TAKE PICKS - IVE GOT A 500 DOLLAR CAMERA! SO YALL GET CELL PHONE SHOTS!)

THEY WOULDNT ALL HANG ON THAT ROPE IN THE DARK CLOSET SO SOME OF THE SMALLER BUDS WERE RIGGED TO HANG THE SAME WAY IN THIS "MILK BONES" BOX WITH A LOT OF HOLES. IT IS IN MY GROWING CLOSET WHICH REMAINS AT EEEHHH 40% HUMIDITY, GIVE OR TAKE 10% DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. NONETHELESS MY GROWING CLOSET HAS TWO UNDERCOVER GROW BOXES - SO IT STAYS DARK AND HAS EXCELLENT AIR CIRCULATION BOTH WAYS.... GO HEAD, HATE ON MY DOG TREAT BOX!!!!!
