Cut off the rotting parts, you may be able to salvage a little. BT is pretty safe, alot safer than smoking caterpillar shit. Dipel works good and not too expensive.

The BT just gets rid of the bugs though, not the rot, correct? The rot needs to be cut out and the BT will help get rid of anything hanging out?

Are you still trying to salvage that plant?
I personally wouldn’t
It's a large plant, and I only had 3 out of about 7 large colas impacted... and only small spots from what I can see.

I cut out a large amount of bud, about an inch past where I could see any sort of damage.

Still not good to salvage?

At this point, that seemed to be consensus... still trying to figure out best way to get rid of any visible shit left from worms

I think it was the consensus because everyone knows you are gutted to lose your largest plant
You are facing an uphill battle and jeopardizing your other plants
But it’s your call
I just stated what my decision has been in the past

I appreciate that, and would agree, I do feel gutted after this.

Perhaps I will move it a good distance from the others and see what happens.

I'm guessing you have no advice on the removal of the shit...

Exactly y I started growing. To know whats in my medicine. I would've chopped whole plant. Risk of the spores making u or someone sick is not worth it. Outdoor grows involve dealing with alot of natural elements out of your control. Not interested.

You're going to need to do more than just cut that stuff out. You need to inspect avery piece of undamaged bud on that plant. It's a guarantee that there are more of those crawling around inside the buds that you just can't see and the damage isn't visible yet. It's too late to spray anything and even if you do it might not kill the caterpillars as more and more they are becoming resistant to BT and other products. If it did kill them you'd still have dead bugs inside the buds that would continue to rot. Then there's the mold spores streaming off that plant everytime there's a little wind which are going to land on you're other plants and start colonizing. Then when the conditions are right and they can take hold in the flowers they will.

It's pretty early in the season to be battling something like that. It completely sucks but it is what it is. Sometimes you have to move on. I'd focus on the other plants at this point and terminate that one immediately.

They glow in a blacklight like the cheap flashlight ones at L*wes. Its a judgement call as to how much you can save, each one will eat a couple buds as they grow and move about. I pity anybody in Westford near that butterfly zoo.
