Can a water only coco mix be achieved?

A user on another forum had a coco grow where he made a mix of coco/epsom salt and Fox farms marine cuisine. Basically allowing him to just use PH'd water with a bit of epsom salt.

Has anyone tried anything similar using dry nutes mixed with coco? It seems super simple which is pretty appealing to me. But haven't really seen anyone doing anything like this with coco.

I don`t see why not, but you will have to figure out the ratio of the marine cuisine to the coco so that your mix is not too much "hot" for the plants to take. Remember in drain to waste coco, your nutrients don't usually get suspended in the media for too long, as your water dries up in the coco, the salts tend to get to higher ratios, I would just be careful not to burn your roots. because your drain to waste will be leeching the nutrients of the marine cuisine every time you water I would be concerned that the marine cuisine may not last the life of the plant, and you may have to add additional fertilizer later in the life cycle. Frankly I would just do 100% coco and use coco based nutrients. If you want to try an experiment and do just 1 or two plants to start and see how it goes I would recommend that, instead of dedicating your whole grow to it, if you`re not sure about the possible results. if the nutriens run out you can always supplement feeding down the line, but for me that would throw too many variables into the situation. I like to keep it simple, well as simple as it can be at least. but go for it, Im sure someone out there would be interested in the results.
