Look on the side of your box near the UPC, if it say FSC you've gotten screwed by your state's legislature. They're "fire safe" cigs and all brands taste equally nasty. You may want to look into buying cartons from a neighboring state, some haven't made the switch, yet.

Yeah, they're supposed to go out if you don't take a drag every 30 seconds or some shit. So you don't burn your house down by falling asleep with a cig in your mouth.. Fucking nanny state..

camel turkish golds if you like full flavor and camel turkish silvers if you like lights. camel turkish royals are middle of the road and my favorite.

i switched to camels about 8yrs ago; dont smoke nothin else. i taste absolutely no difference in the new packaging, but i could be wrong. sounds stupid, but i have fellow camel smoker friends that swear by the wides, say they taste better. give it a shot, buy you a pack of wide lights and see what you think.

Personally i smoke Kamel Reds. But since you are looking for light try to find some Kamel Red Lights. (the box has red and black squares on it) They are pricey unless you find a good place to get them from...(smoke shop maybe) I think you will REALLY like them...esp good to smoke if you are blazing or drinking.

You GOTTA ask "Do you sell kamel with a 'k' cigs?" at your store becuase if you ask for "Kamel reds" most of the time the monkey gives you either Camel filters or Marlboro reds.

Kamel is run by Camel brand. It was originally introduced as a "high class" cig...then the great depression hit and no one wanted to pay for that shit. It was re-introduced in 1996...and kinda hard to find these days...only certain stores carry them.

Alsooo might try American Spirit Lights (yellow box)...also kind of tough to come by in certain areas...but if you buy them they provide a certain amount of their sales to Native American youths.

I loved the old Camel Lights. I don't mind the new ones, but they definitely don't stand a chance against the old ones, IMHO. Google "Discount Cigarettes" from there find a website where you can buy cartons from Eastern Europe. I buy ones called Camel Blues (Subtle Flavour.) They taste comparable to a Camel Light, and on the upside they are usually under $25 per carton. I love them seeing as here in the second city (Whoops - I've said too much) Camel Lights are $8.50 per pack.
