A couple of weeks ago, I took a day off and went to Venice Beach to take in the sights. Walking along the boardwalk, I discovered that about every third business was a head shop. There were guys handing out hand-bills that directed you into a doctor's "office" if you wanted to get a recommendation letter. Price ... $100. In addition to the head shops, there were several compassion clubs where you could take your newly minted recommendation letter and buy medical pot.

There is only one word that even comes close to adequately describe the above .... VICTORY! :lol:

LOL so true. Venice is a stoner's paradise. There is so much competition among headshops, you can talk their prices down to practically nothing, all you have to say when discussing price is, "I don't know, I think I'll check out a couple other places," and BAM, price drops 75%. Capitalism at it's finest.

Venice is a cool place. I was raised there. Of course, it was quite different back in the 40s, 50s and 60s. Back then, you'd get 5 years in state prison for possession of ANY amount. Like I said, Bro ... VICTORY! :)

Venice was a cool place... Even for someone in the industry, it's kind of embarrassing to have some guy screaming "MEDICAL MARIJUANA" at you on the boardwalk...
