California Orange Bud

Oops, I haven't gotten used to the new site yet. My question is has anyone grown this strain? Everyday I have to raise my light as she is growing like crazy. I instructed my wife how to do it and when I got home the light deflector was touching the top of the plant. It seared a few leaves but no major damage. She has good bud formation as of today. This picture was taking on Saturday. She is in the third week of 12/12. Thanks for looking!

It's normal for it to stretch during the transition to flowering, especially in the 2nd/3rd week of 12/12. It may do a final grow spurt but it will stop soon (within days now rather than weeks). Good looking plant, good luck!

I have grown Nirvana's version of Cali Orange many years ago, when they were still selling this strain. Enjoyed most phenos, especially the indica -orange phenotypes. This strain stretches MADLY... just like what I'm dealing with growing my Speed Haze (ssh x j.herer). The stretch continues into flowering on most phenos. All in all a nice sativa - I would recommend super cropping her (bend the meristem horizontally). I had to do just that with my indoor Cali-O crop. Ended up getting one crappy pheno, 5 decent ones, and 2 phenomenal, orangy females out of my 10-pack of regular beans from Nirvana. For some reason Cali-Orange is hard to find these days. (Nevermind DP's version which sux) Overall a Good strain, except for that crazy ass stretch-

DSCN0529.JPG My Speed Haze going through their stretch. About 17 days in, and hopefully will start putting on some weight soon. The MK Ultra is about 3 weeks in, but she's a midget compared to the gangly hazes. Will include a pic of the MK sometime soon:eyesmoke:
