Cali Outdoor = Best weed in the world?

All us Cali growers already know we grow the best weed in the world. And days like today are the reason why...near 100 degrees (record high temps) today in California's central valley. The 10 day forecast shows low 90's to high 80's throughout! I think they need a bit of cold at the end to finish up correctly though.

Any thoughts?

Cold is nice for the purple color, but I'd take the Hot all the way through flowering any day over that. I find when I flower mid summer here in Canada, which is something like your fall now, I have the most Trichome covered bud I've ever seen. The high heat and bright sun is what we want!

For sure. Some of the best tasting smoke I have ever had was out there. They sure do love the heat. Been 80 here, gonna drop around 70 soon :/ I would def agree overall you Cali guys grow the best outdoor, but when it comes to indoors the best I have seen has been here in Co.

I was motivated to grow my own, here in the Central Valley by prices going out of sight in the early 80's. My first crop came from seeds that I found in a Thai Stick that came back from Vietnam in 1975. I cloned and maintained my one female for 10 years, through nineteen clonings. I gotta say, I've rarely tasted buds that I'd prefer to my own efforts. Spoiled, I guess. The only bud I would say was better than my own was some Maui stick weed that was one hit devastating, that I got an oz of in '76. The Hawaiians have the best soil in the world for weed. I guess the Feds knew it, because they went in and ended weed growing in the islands.

Yes we have nice strains that can be purchased by most, but the weather/growing conditions here in Cali are like no other. Hot, dry, good latitude, long season, IMO that's what makes Cali weed better.

we have your season in Australia...just a few things namely its not legal so its easier for ppl to do hydro and not outdoor unless you live out in the never never mountains..
oh and we don't have cherry pie etc :)

In New Zealand we have a hole in the ozone layer which allows more UV light through so plants have to put out more protection e.g Trichomes or thc or what ever.
Still doesn't compare to cali though because its not legal and we only have a population of 4 mill and are probably lacking new strains however its getting better. Some people grow some super good outdoors but as we all know some cash croppers grow utter shit! Invite me over for a cali smoke up sometime

Interesting article on the topic about how plants react to the light in NZ.

oh man, I grew local bagweed and OG kush seeds under the same conditions, and the bagweed wasn't even playing the same fucking sport. the genetics you gringos make are no joke. down here, near the equator you can plant vegg and harvest pretty much all year round, there's even places like that, dry hot and high. there's also places you get a foot of rainfall for about 4 months in a row, you can't grow shit out there, cannabis wise :eyesmoke:
