Cali Grow Q's

This past fall I got my medical marijuana card and next spring my parents are letting me plant some plants out in our yard to save money rather than buying it. I live near Sacramento and have plenty of yard to work with (2 acres). I know I want to grow self flowering plants throughout the year to get as many harvests in as I can. So this leads to my first series of questions: Do most cannabis dispensaries sell auto flowering clones? If so, what would you recommend using, seeds from a bank or clones from a dispensary? If not, what's a good auto flowering strain that would like the heat we get here (over 100 F frequently in summer)?

After I figure out WHAT I'm going to be growing, I now have options on HOW they'll be growing. Should I plant them in raised beds in the ground filled with horse manure and soil or should I dig a big hole? Or I could plant them in 15 gallon buckets or something?

Also, I was thinking about growing a couple sativa non self flowering plants and letting them grow all summer long so they'd be huge and just make edibles out of them, thoughts on this idea?

Thanks guys, sorry it was so long. :wall:

If you can grow a quality Sativa dominant plant to maturity, you wont want to make edibles; you and you very good friends will be smoking it.
P.S. Frmrboi is right, you cant clone Autos, unless you want a 3 inch tall finished product...... you gotta buy seeds :(

Go and get you a few clones that will finish at different times. It gets pretty cold up near Sacramento in the winter so unless you doing a greenhouse it might be hard. With all that space you should be able to grow trees and smoke free all year on six plants. dirrtyd
