Calcium deficiency?

Hey guys, I thought I would post a new thread for this outside my journal to try and get a speedy response!

I've always gone with super soil and never really had any problems having to diagnose deficiencies since it was always on point, but this year I made my own soil from scratch.

One of my ladies looks like what I believe is a calcium deficiency, can anyone confirm this for me and tell me what I should do? If it will just naturally go away, etc.?

Here's a picture of her sister in the same batch of soil, she's loving it!

Looks like early stages of calcium def. But of course double check ph. Outdoor grow possibly a pest? Going with calcium deficiancy though.

That doesnt look like calcium def to me. Its on the leaf edges, not the veins. Id say some type of burn. Did you mix your own soil?

Early calcium deficiancy starts with random spotting and gradually gets worse. Don't see a consistent sign that nute burn would create.

That's what j was thinkin, calcium deficiency.

These two ladies are in a greenhouse and I still spray with neem, so pests are out, I still haven't checked the ph of the soil... Never seemed to do that, I'll run to the store and get a meter this after noon.

I'm glad to hear that it's not a calcium deficiency if anything, I know that you really know your stuff alien. She's looks like about a pound right now? Haha.

Yes, I mixed my own soil. LCs mix with recipe #1

 i never say about a pound. I always actually try and guess the weight when someone asks. Lil jerks never get back on and post the real dried weights though!

Sometimes when guys mix their own soil they over do a nitrogen source, or add a bit too much of one ingredient by accident. The best thing to do is just ride it out and keep the extra fertlizer rates low. The only other thing it looks like to me is maybe wind damage.

That's what I always say  I've noticed a lot of people will do entire journals and never post dry weights, which always kinda pisses me off...

I sat here and read through your entire journal, looked at every photo, just waiting for final dry weight, and I never get it! :fire:

Really happy to hear that it's more than likely just an abudance in one of my 3 main macro nutes.

Wind damage is also another high possibility since I had to move these ladies in the wind, and it was quite crazy strong winds.

The other 4 are showing the same symptoms as the one photo, but not nearly as bad, those 4 are all outside, they are nearly used to the wind now.

Thanks man, appreciate the help! I'll post an update here and on my journal when they start to grow out of the problem.

I sure hope not, that would be a nightmare!

I'm going to test the soil later today and pray that it's not that.

I doubt that it is though honestly, regardless of those lil burns on the leaves, I transplanted her a lil over a week ago and she has been veggin crazy!

My soil recipe (excluding my amendments) was 5 parts peat, 3 parts perlite, and 2 parts ewc and a tbs of dolomite lime per gallon and a tbs of greensand per gallon.

Did u mix lime thourhly lime can cause ph flux if ur water was more base then ur soil...just keep watering n feeding to schedule should correct itself either way.
