It would take all winter and longer for compost. I've bought Gaia green's rock dust before. My biggest problem building soil has been micronutrients like Mn and Zn and maybe that company addressed the problem with their own rock dust???

Clackamas uses 2yr old leaf mold. It's pure leaf mold and it takes it a while to break down by itself. I was looking into "Garden Giants" mushrooms to help speed things up. It's always a good idea to collect leaves, even if you have to put them in a trash bag for storage because they break down pretty quick in trash bags...

Blackswallowsoil.com does, I got some of my components like neem meal from them and they have a modified clackamas coot recipe that looks decent. Price isn't horrible if your just gonna do a plant or two. 17 or 20$ a cubic foot if you get it with pumice or without.

I have access to a few different composts and im going to visit a worm farm to get some fresh castings. I think il be able to conbine enough composts and castings to make a decent living soil.

Il be making beds and mixing my soil in the beds to cook it . Because i dont have the space to do a tall pile And winter is comig in canada

Shipping wasn't that bad I was surprised. I ordered around 30 lbs of stuff and it was 20$ and Canada post lady was bitching as she could barely carry the box. They are in Brantford Ontario so maybe possible for you to pick up.

No journals really. I just grow for percy and still consider myself a noob somewhat.
