Bunk Nirvana AK-48 feminized seeds...

I also posted this in the Seeds and Seed Review thread. I apologize for the double post, but wasn't sure which was most appropriate thread, though I think it is relevant to both...

I was very excited when I received my seeds approximately July 27th. Immediately put 2 in a moist paper towel and baggie (as I have done MANY times with bag seeds in years past). Was expecting them to start showing the root within a week or so. After about 12 days all that happened was the seeds cracked and you could see a little white showing through.

Decided to change tactics. Moved those 2 into Jiffy starter pellets, and also put 2 more of my new seeds into their own pellets also (figured would try starting them in there instead of paper towel). At the same time I started 6 bags seeds in their own pellets. 2 of the bag seeds are starting to break the surface. I carefully looked into the pellets where the AK seeds are, the original 2 seeds are pretty much the same, maybe a little more white showing; the second 2 seeds look cracked and 1 has a hint of white showing.

2 days after putting the seeds in the Jiffy pellets, I put the last AK seed into a paper towel and baggie, and about 48 hours ago I put 6 bag seeds in a damp paper towel in the same baggie in order to test the seed environment. The AK seed still has not cracked, and 5 of 6 of the bags seeds have cracked and the most vigorous one has a root about 1 1/2 long (again, after about 48 hours).

To Summarize:
Of the 5 AK-48 seeds I paid $40 for:
- 2 seeds have been in paper towels, then Jiffy starters for 3 weeks with nearly 0 results.
- 2 seeds have been in only Jiffy starters for about 8 days with barely a crack in them
- 1 has been in a paper towel nearly a week with no result

Of the 6 bag seeds put directly in the Jiffy starters:
- 2 are breaking up through the pellet
- the other 4 are on their way

Of the 6 seeds I put in the paper towel and same baggie as the AK-48 seeds 48 hours ago:
- 5 of 6 have sprouted, with the longest being about 1 1/2 inches

The water I use is distilled bottled water, room temp, which I adjusted the ph, using a little baking soda, to about 7.0-7.4. I keep the overall temp where the seeds are kept about 80 degrees.

The bags seeds take off in the environment provided, but after 3 weeks the feminized AK-48 have done next to NOTHING.

I will be contacting Nirvana next. Hopefully, they will provide me with new seeds, but I doubt it... Even if they do, my confidence in them in shot, and by the time I got new ones I will have lost over a month of growing time waiting for what I thought was going to be a sure thing...

I have been out of weed for a while and because of my profession it is difficult for me to buy any, which makes the situation even worse... which is why I decided to start growing. Hopefully, one of the bag seeds will turn out to be female then that will be the end of my problems. It is a good thing I saved seeds from my last bag! Nirvana was a waste of time and money... If anything changes I will be sure to post.

Any suggestions for a better one? It was my understanding, even from this site, that Nirvava was the one to go through...

Yeah man, if they don't hatch under 5 days I throw them and try more. I have like 50 seeds in the freezer though. This is a good seed bank.

I've never had any problems with nirvana and overall I think they have a pretty good rep. Shit happens bro and unfortunately it landed in your mailbox. Contact them and hopefully you can get new souvenirs.

Lol cause of your a proffesion? Your probably a cop and don't want your swine co workers to know you smoke weed. Also next time how about just planting the seeds straight into the soil or if your doing hydro, straight into the cubes. That paper towel and water shit is a waste of time. My seeds sprout exactly in 2 days of first being planted. The days you wait for the seed to show roots it could have already sprouted.

yeah thats when my shit sprouts. you need high humidity, in a dark spot and around 78 degrees and my are done in 2-5 days.

Ive had luck both ways, but i do feel as though the paper towel routine does tend to almost rot the seeds at times.

paper towel is a waste of time man. Put them point down in the soil not more then a 1/2 inch down. Wet and mist the soil and put a bag over them and no light til the seed falls off the sprout or before they hit the bag covering them. that's my method...

lol, I know that's vague, but no not a cop... Please just leave it at that...

Anyway, I as I wrote, the second 2 were planted directly in the soil and after a week have done nearly nothing.

Any with regards to Mazpot's earlier post, I am not gonna continue buying more Nirvan seeds at $40 for 5 seeds just to keep throwing them out if they don't sprout.

And in case you don't know about Jiffy starter pellets, they come in a little plastic tray with a clear cover to act as a little greenhouse. There is always a little condensation on the inside of the cover so I know the humidity is fine. I already commented on temp. I keep a light on directly above it to keep the temp constant.

The problem is NOT with the setup. As I already wrote, the bag seeds are growing perfectly. I tried different sprouting tactics all with the same result for the Nirvana seeds - nearly NOTHING.

It's Illegal to germinate seeds in the U.S Unless your a Med Patient:-P:clap:.... they sell you seeds as souvenirs .. not to germinate them .. i dont think they will replace your seeds because they didnt germinate
I think everyone has an mmj card on here man if they live in the US.

Luck should have nothing to do with it. They sell seeds that they say are gonna grow.

And if you are talking cop, or narc, I would put my money on LAX Skunky BwS.
