Room is 24"x27"x49" gonna be my mother room, going to use a hydrofarm 250w CFL and maybe a couple 100w CFL to brighten up the bottom/sides. Did the math cubic feet is roughly 19'. My point being the ventalation option im considering is a 45.2cfm 120mm computer fan intake and exhaust.. im looking at one that comes with a wooden wall vent and filter... http://www.frozencpu.com/products/18907/fan-cab-62/CabCool_1202W_Lite_Single_120mm_Wood_Grill_5V_Fan_Cabinet_Cooling_Kit.html?tl=g54c503s1370
would it be too much for my room? Should i do something smaller or would this be fine as an intake and exhaust? Also I have a bit of a pest problem already.. tiny flies staying around my pots and soil. I'm thinking theyre fungus gnats. ive pretty much killed all the ones ive found but just to be sure how should i get rid of them? I've seen a bunch of differnet ways but just would like to know an easy and inexpensive way to kill and prevent them. So far I've added perlite and fly paper to my list to buy. Just to clear things up my plants (2) are still germinating in small eco pots. Once they pop up ill be dropping them into bigger buckets. Any suggestions, comments or thoughts all are welcome! Thanks:blsmoke:

I would go with a higher cfm. And use the hanging fly strips and you should be good

Hey man, For your mother room the 250w cfl should be fine and that fan should give you ample ventilation depending on ambient temps just watch the temps, you can always add more fans. You could probably make something similar to that fan for much less that $35 if you're quite handy.

For you're pest problem im not 100% sure on how to get rid of fungus gnats specifically but neem oil is good for killing general pests. I'd treat the plants with it then clean the grow space top to bottom with some mild disinfectant.

im decent with most handy work it really just depends on what it is.. ill look into that for sure so im not spending $80 on 2 fans. I read that cover the dirt with a layer of perlite and hang some fly paper should be good, but ill look into the neem oil as well! thanks for the input!

what CFM would you recommend? As i said before cubic feet is about 19'. Will be running only CFL's so shouldnt be too hot. My flower room is a lot bigger, 43"x77"x98" about 187 cubic feet. will be using 400w hps with 2 6" inline duct fans about 250 CFM each along with circulation fans
