Sounds like I NEED a expencive digital ph meter...distilld water eliminates ph flucuation right?

just get the liquid PH tester... and for your water build up along the sides just put somthing under your flood table so it raises one side and the water flows to the drain end. i had the same problem but then i put a 1 inch thick piece of wood under it and no more water problem.

BTW the little bottle of Ph tester was only like 7 bucks and its lasted me through 2 grows now.

hope this helps

I do have a drip ph tester, but when my water is full of nutes it's hard to reaD...the reason I would like to just spend 5$ a week on distilld water if will take care of ph problems n eliminate constant checking/fixing. So to help be super clear distilld is ph stable? Or as much work as tap water just cleaner??

what kind of nutes are you using. if your using the right amount they should help stablize your ph. does for me any way my tap water is high 7 and after i put nutes in it goes down to 6ish

yet another question...in my res. i noticed that inbetween floodings my nutes settled to the bottom, and even when its flooding my table it looks like there is still more nutes on the bottom of my res than in the water...was thinkin about buying a air pump n sand stone to come on with the pump during flood times...this a good idea or waist of money?

You could use a air pump and a couple stones to keep the rez aerated. Your other option is buying a 3-500gph pump and running it with no hoses in the bottom periodically. This will 'churn' the nutrients back into solution hopefully.

you said you have solid nutes in your tank.. if so that means your probly mixed the nutes wrong.. i dont know if foxfarm has a complicated ( mix part A with water, then add B to C, then add the BC mix to the AH2O mix) that was just an example but alot of the time if you mix it wrong, the nutes bind to each other and are no longer able to be used by your plants.
