build a soil website: Coots or No Coots

@hyroot ... I believe that it was you that said something about it to someone else. Anyways, I went to the website and I really think that I like the company! my local store is a rip off and they are very rude, I started ordering online and saving money doing it. Thanks Hyroot, it made shopping very easy!

Question: Coots or non-Coots? I am not sure what the difference is other than ingredients. They said Coots has lower Phos which helps with microbiology??

The non-coots has a pretty big list of ingredients. Coots seems to be small.

I am going to try it out! I am going to go with the non-coots. I guess that it is not a popular subject, maybe I should have called it SuperSoil?

I get
1.cootz nutrient mix without minerals.

2. mineral mix.

It's cheaper that way and you get more for your money.

3. Fishbone meal.

Mix that.

I have gotten the Topdress kit before. I did like it.

Like super soil that other mix seems redundant imo

I got the 12 species of seed mix too

I'm growing some outside in their own pot as well. I'm trying to produce my own seeds so I don't ever have to buy seeds ever again

i just checked out the kit they are selling .........i would be a little worried
i distil so u know gypsum that is a pH of 4.0 and 2 cups of it is alot(1/2 cup for 50 gallon mash ins drops it to a ph of 4.0 for the yeast ) they are saying use 6 of those mixes to 1 bail or starter soil

i think different then other ppl
6 mixes in 1 bail that is 3/4 a gallon of gypsum ........2 cups a pint 2 pints quart

i know that is wrong that drops the PH way down ......the soil base is 7.0 and adding in that much would drop it in the low 5s high 4s ....plus the other stuff most super soils include some lime to stable the ph back to 7

I'm not buying their soil kit, myself, I'm interested in that ground cover seed blend. I have an über-soil recipe I like.

There's basalt rock dust and oyster shell flour, worm castings, and crustacean meal in there. So ph is fine. This is living organics. You don't use bottled nutes with these.

I am getting there man! I like this because it will get me started until I can make better sense of it. I am really glad that I saw hyroot mention this store! They have everything a person would need to build a soil. I am considering some charged biochar until I can make my own. GreaseMonkey mentioned insect frass, they have it. I dont think I would have to crush crickets lol. Sounds fun and all.
I am interested in a cover crop that I can feed to my rabbits. I think that alfalfa is a no-brainer.

I dont understand why there is such a big diff in ingredients with Cootz. I think that I was spelling Cootz wrong also. Is it easier on the microbiology? I am far from being expert and I am still learning.

I like the biochar too; aww bunnies are delicious! I'm also an organic super-soil newb, but I went to gradeschool with a woman who owns the local organic nursery so she's been hooking me up with skillz

Your bunnies will eat canna leaves too.

Bio char is good. I haven't used it yet. It should improve things and make it so you don't need as much amendments.
