And if it is a tick.... It could have gotten in a number of ways. It's in your bedroom right? So it could've been brought inside by being on an article of clothing, a pet... There is a bunch of ways. I hope you clean your room on a regular basis and don't leave clothes or food around.

There are over 800 species of ticks worldwide and I'm sure hundreds of different of species of mites. I would hope you can tell what a tick looks like. If you do, then you should be able to distinguish the difference between a mite and a tick

Yeah I really don't think these are ticks. They are much smaller and much more mite like they just don't look the same color. Where I live..my dogs have played outside for over 20 years no fleas no ticks and no treatments. But mY hedges have had spider mites in the past thinking I brought something in working in the yard... But there is nothing to feed off yet?? Ill take a pic soon but the only thing there is a sprouted tap root with the first 2 round leaves, the true leaves are just starting to poke out and the bugs are on the bucket lid, when I first saw it was on the little girl and that's when I washed everything. What can I do? I can throw everything out and spray my light and pump? Thanks guys super unhappy I'm hydro to avoid bugs

I've gotten mites with a hydro setup... They like humidity and high heat. They also like the sweet smell of nutrient reservoirs. If they are notes and you need a harmless organic spray look up a recipe for a spray that includes liquid dish soap and water. Chances are if they are spider mites you didn't clean yourself it remove your clothes before you entered your grow room. Big no no... You should always be clean before entering even your bedroom where your op is

The ticks around my way areimpossible to just smoosh easily.spider mites on the other hand are easily squashed so I think you'd easily be able to tell the difference like that.no?

I also agree if they are as tiny as you say they are and they easily squish it's gotta be a mite. The only time ticks are red when they squish is if they been pulled off of skin and have been feeding

So from everything in reading I deff think they're mites. What should I do? Everything I read says you spray the plants. I have no plant yet lol

Thanks for the replies guys. Any suggestions on what to spray on the medium? I see homemade with soap and water and garlic but it says it has to touch the mites. I haven't seen any since I got the pic of that one... Deff think I'm gonna throw I chive plant in there too

Dish soap and water will do. Mites breathe through their bodies so dish soap and water and they won't be able to breathe. Just know that where there is one mite there are usually thousands more

Thanks sno. Yeah saw a little fucker this am. I sprinkled garlic powder on the medium.... It's 1tbs soap to 2 cups warm water right? And just spray the medium? I can pull the little sprout and boil fresh pebbles and just toss these and spray the sprout? Thanks again.

I like neem oil for controlling about all of my bugs. Stinks though, but bugs hate that shit.

Sorry man, I don't do hydro so it's probably different. You are suppose to wash off the oil after a day so the plant can breath if you're applying directly on the leaves. I use it in the corners of my room, out side on things you don't want ants taking over, also used it on a yellow jacket nest in my house vent... so maybe not in your case.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah I sprayed the room down with my ortho shit that normally keeps everything out.

So I pulled the little baby sprout this am that had a few on it (weird much smaller and black but I saw the same thing I posted on the lid) I dipped the top half (not the roots) into the soap water. Dumped the clay pebbles. Soaked new pebbles in boiling water and cleaned everything with alcohol.... Hoping this helps providing they're not hiding out in the lights or somethibg

I just got done messing with mites on two plants 3 weeks in veg. I tried sprays and the only thing that worked was a hot shot no pest strip, put it in my grow box during the 6 hrs of lights out and it killed em all.
