Bugs on My Roots!

I'll try and get some pictures up soon if I can get a camera to take a good picture of the bugs. But they're pretty small. The problem just seems to be starting. I'm growing aero. Set up is clean, as far as I can tell. I rinsed the hydroton, not with RO water, but with tap, but there is still some red clay run off in res. Just starting to see some bugs creep up on the roots of the plants sitting in 6" net pots. But one plant is trying to break out of the basket but before the roots can get out these little gnat/tick looking pests are definitely eating the roots. I'm sure that doesn't really narrow down what bug it is, cause I'm sure all those little critters would love to chomp roots.
But how do I get rid of them??? Open to suggestions? Hydrogen Peroxide maybe???
HELP ME QUICK!!

If you have root aphids you need to make a move now. I have dealt with them 3 or so times in my hydro flood & drain system and it doesn't take long before you have a full on outbreak. I have tried numerous products which include SNS 203, Mosquito dunks, Axamax, and nothing was able to knock them out completely like Green Light's Tree and Shrub. Its a systemic product that is nicotine based and kills all the aphids that try to eat your precious girls. Once its introduced to your plants system it will stay there for the remainder of its life. I originally had some concerns with how this nicotine byproduct would effect the flavor, smoke and or scent of my buds. I flushed them HEAVY and they finished out very nice! Especially, knowing what those root aphids are capable of doing I warn you to not play around too long trying to find an easier solution. Best of luck my friend

Sand wont do anything to them.

If you use Bayer, its main ingredient is Imidicloprid. Dont use 40 days before harvest atleast. They also sell just the Imid at a nursery without the nutes. Most products contain 1.47% Imid, Merit 75 contains 75%. IMO it should only be used in veg because of the concentration

Actually i did have root aphids. Sand doesnt work, tried it. Unless there is sand at the bottom of your pot, they will crawl through the drain holes. And even if you have sand top and bottom, theyll happily live in your root system. Sand works good on gnats though. Diatomaceous Earth wont do anything to them either. Do some research on root aphids, i gaurantee this noob can school ya on them
