And further to my post above...as I sat here thinking about this some more, I believe there is a conversation here on CDN patients where woods proudly confirms that as a lobbyist, friendly with the gov, that he and his were able to "SHAPE" this program. So I guess if you have enough money you can create the change you need. I still don't feel any sympathy for anything you guys are putting yourselves through. As producers you need to make the rules.

They won't lobby and fight for change because it cuts into there revenue and would be bad for business. As for all this propaganda these LP's are spreading about the government not wanting anything to do with this you are right but they have too.... Due to the court order!! So actually you LP's should have the government by the short and curlies for lack of a better term... So quite lieing and spreading propaganda!!

And whatever you said rubbed him the wrong and he ran. If you want info now you find him. Why do you say LP's have no leverage? If the first big 3 weren't so fuckin' greedy they could have organized and possibly made this something. It's a race to the top at the expense of quality.

I never said anything to him in private, just said his latest sales pitch sounded desperate. Oh well.

Um perhaps leverage isn't the most appropriate word, maybe clout.
Some LPs have clout...Cannimed for obvious reasons, PNP, Bedrocann, Medreleaf, Tilray...they all have some clout and influence in some areas and for different reasons.
Their combined clout is limited though, say when compared to Oil, Lumber, Mining etc...simply not in the same $ league. So their clout and influence is limited...just my take on it.
