Subcool did an episode of the weednerd and did the shake and twist i think its in the first 40 episodes not sure what one though. I tried to find a video for you i looked for a couple hours and didnt see one. The twist you just grab a skinny branch with you thumb index and middle fingers and twist the branch just dont twist more than 360 degrees.
Thanks for looking for that video, it does sound interesting. Now that I'm in flower I'm probably just going to let them go straight up for a bit and then start gently to tie them down, maybe even toss a net over them and weight it down. I don't know for sure how it will play out, should be interesting.

Currently 57F and 90% rh with "monsoon" rains forecast all day. Guess I'll be pulling out the heaters for the day.

Some rainy day images from the greenhouse:

week 16rain1.jpg week 16rain2.jpg week 16rain3.jpg week 16rain4.jpg week 16rain5.jpg week 16rain6.jpg week 16rain7.jpg week 16rain8.jpg

These pics taken during lull in monsoon rains. Configured gh with front windows open just a couple inches to keep wet leaves off glass and every other vent closed. With both heaters running and oscillating fan on, have now gotten temps to 69F and rh to 69%. That's the best it will get for today, more rain into the evening. Some leaks but 98% of plants are dry.

I don't see flowers yet
Currently flowering on 5 of my 6 and would only be visible in the close-up shots at this point. My flower formations seem to stall out a bit the first part of August. My hours of daylight are decreasing about 2 minutes per day but right around this time I pick up an extra 2 hours of direct light as sun moves south and to the side of some large trees (morning and evening light get better). Seems to confuse them for a bit! My indoor flowers come in much faster, but the greenhouse girls all get to the right place in the end.

Feel free to post a pic here if you have one, love to see it. I'm going to assume that everything I'm growing is absolute crap weed until I get a chance to smoke it!

Pic 5 - Green Crack, our conversation went like this:
"Hey GC cutie, why you lookin' so sad?" said I.
"Fuck you and your stupid fucking water gauge that said I didn't want a fucking drink this morining!" said GC.
"Oh, well let's give you a drink then" said I.
"Get a fucking move on it, fucktard! said GC.
"Oh, the mouth on you" said I.

I don't know why i haven't seen this journal yet but it helped pass a good half hour at work. That greenhouse is amazing and those plants look awesome. I also live in the mtns above 10k elevation and i just recently built a tiny greenhouse that i was very happy since we've had crazy rain for the past 2 weeks, but dam your greenhouse is awesome. makes me want to save up so i can build a man cave/ greenhouse:blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke:

can't wait to keep watching these girls flower. I currently have only one plant showing signs of flowering but i think it will start very very soon.

Thanks Frosty, glad to have you visit. I'm looking forward to some flowers as well! I can't imagine growing at 10K without a structure of some sort, not sure you could finish them without one. Hope you built it big enough to get a heater in there!

My greenhouse is now 4 years old but still evolving. I estimate I've sunk about $5-$6K into mine so far with the deck and I'd like to expand it next year. Not planning to increase plant count, just getting too crowded for a proper lounge area. I put some stakes into the ground tonight to start formalizing more of a plan. I don't really have the budget to expand it right now but it is a good time to pour footings so I may just do that. Be nice to have a construction project to work on this winter if weather and budget permit.

Cheers!
