Bug Bomb?

I have two closets that I flower in, they are coming up on the end of their second runs. From the first time I planted in them, one room got a double aphid/gnat infestation, and the other had a couple of bugs that were easily controlled with yellow sticky cards.

I have not been able to eradicate the bugs in the bad room, and I've tried everything suggested on this board. Luckily, covering the top of the soil with sticky cards seems to be keeping them from actually reaching the plant (and sticking to the buds, like they did the last time I grew in that space).

One suggestion I have not tried, is to "bomb the room". I have two questions:

1. Is this recommended?

2. Can I leave plants in the room when I have a bomb go off?

About the second question -- I will wait until the plant in the flower "closet" finishes before setting off a bomb in there, but I have a sort of home made tent made out of a metal storage rack (sitting outside the closet, in the room itself), and vegging in there are the next generation of plants. I'd like to leave them in the room, in hopes that any bug stragglers on or around them might also be killed. Is this a bad idea?

I'll be heading out to pick some stuff up this morning, and of course I'll read the labels for their recommendations, but I am curious what the actual experience of others is.
