Budzbuddha’s House of HLG ( end of summer ) grow

Blackbird - Flower

In my opinion - this rig is really working out well. Although I still have a ridiculous amount of power left to use ( I’m on like the the 3rd notch of dimmer ) , it definitely is a helluva good choice for any 3x3 or 4x4 setup. Even in an open space ceiling hang - this is well worth a look.

The workmanship and construction is top notch - leading to minor dusting / cleaning in its straight forward design. Temps have been negligible and easily controlled. Maybe I will jump into that wireless dim option too. Hard to believe that I still have upwards of 600 watts still on tap. I advise monitoring plants response to gauge power over just max - this rig would definitely bleach your tops if not careful.

I still plan that UV mod after this grow , but for anyone looking for a solid light , this is it.

Well , I am still battling some deficency with the White Wedding - even tho I narrowed PH . I flushed them for any salt buildup and noticed they are ppm sensitive. So I am trying to ride them out as best I can. They reek of sweet dough and have some purps showing , with good frost. Just gotta watch them girls til end.

The Cherry Soda Twist is another story ….. they are growing long stout buds. Knobby buds - maybe the Do-Si-Do side pushing thru.
The other Cherry Soda has long noodle pistils and more compact buds - pheno difference. Will be interesting to compare smoke :bigjoint: .

I am probably gonna give my soil blend a rest for awhile - so I can see if I can experiment with a longer flower mix. Thinking of using seabird guano in mix or top dress next time. So I will be sticking with hempy buckets here on out for some future grows.

Dude you grow some beautiful bud. I hope to become proficient like that someday. Definately inspires me to keep learning.

My luck's been crap lately, after a series of winter related power outages, I router and modem slowly gave up the ghost, so my internet access has been spotty. All new equipment now......... let's hope that's it for a while.

Hey @pop22 - glad you are getting better.

Were you able to find out about that thread ( I think it got pulled ) from https://www.tangosintuitivetechnology.com/
listing “ HLG PRODUCTS “ ? .

Sounded scammy as shit.

And if it would make sense to put out a warning to anyone buying - that entity isn’t a distributor or whatever.
I called them out but can’t find thread. But they also have IG presence.

Update :

Decided to fire up ol’ faithful - QB304 ( 4 ) w/ COB rig. Original 2015/2016 boards still doing well.
As you can see plants seem happy under it.

Berta 2.0 ( NL ) and some solo cups ( KKP King Kong poison ) - ( probably gonna up pot them this weekend ).

Upper left plant was being finicky with feed so I have to adjust it. The other 2 are rockin and may cough up a clone or two since they seem better off.

Urgent Care

After I just posted the above , I thought about that deficient plant …. Pulled her out and decided to run a pelletized bump in feed .

I have used VIGORO tomato in the past ( 12-10-5 ) and scratched it into top soil. It will feed as it wears the granules down.
‘And think it should do the trick.

If not. I have a back up BERTA - just topped to get some of that lateral growth going. Once it throws more structure , I will do some training and run it with others. Minor purpling from cold cali nights ( I think it’s over ) . But overall good.

Note to self : Always have backups

2nd string backup : BERTA

Topped

QB 96 W/ SUNBLASTER Pure Par lamps.

Ethos Forbidden Zkittlez ( soil ) and Ethos White Wedding ( clone ) in a coco / perlite hempy.
Dual Pure Par lamps - Agromax

They are both in a flowering cycle.
Zkittlez provided a few cuttings ( lots of secondary branching ) - with those being in propagator at the moment.

Been on a perpetual grow tear lately .

Minor update : Muchacha F7 autos ( freebies )

Been dealing with too cool rooms as of late ( cali ) - which you would think would be better for this state.
DFD47AB7-9191-4A06-899C-B1734BE62B27.jpeg

Any hoot , some feed uptake has happened but in progress of stabilizing better temps. Girls are getting chilly.

2 Muchacha Autos with 2 distinct phenos. One has long lash like pistils / compacted flowers / no dominate fans - all uniform size / dank smell.
The other I call HYDRA - this one was a twin tower sprouting plant ( was not topped ) - but it has more defined stacking / lots of secondary tops / danky smell.

Each were LST trained only.

Another one bites the dust …

ETHOS WHITE WEDDING ( clone plant )

This one has an interesting story , it “ originally “ started as a hempy grown clone. However during its grow some issues were happening I couldn’t get a grasp on . So ….. as a failsafe move I pulled it from a hempy ( 100% perlite ) container and layered it between soil.

It apparently worked .

I layered a bottom layer of my soil mix and set it on top - then layered another soil layer on top. I began feeding it as a “ soil “ container and it took off. Not only did it continue to root aggressively into bottom but also thru out top layer ( feeder roots ).

Flowers are frosty with Purp colors - deep fruit / soap like ? ( hard to describe  ) smell from her . Not bad just hard for me to explain.
So I manage to get her to finish and began a light pre trim on her as she begins to dry out in container. I don’t really wet or dry trim - something in between so the Cannabrush can finish after hang. I usually leave plants to dry a few days “ on the vine “ ( in container ) before cutting stalk.

No particular reason , just my way of doing it. I also have stopped using mason jars and Grove bag final buds.

This is the second “ hempy to soil “ Plan B I had to do - other plant came down last week ( Blueberry Muffin ). See Pic.

So I thought I would share this .
