buds

Some say to hang them til the stems snap... roughly 3-7 days... some say to start curing them when the stems become bendy but don't snap... it's just a matter of trial and error unfortunantly...

i'd suggest hanging them until you feel them drying up on the outside... then just wait another day or two... then goto the jar curing process which is the most efficient way of curing your buds... make sure you keep a close eye, especially if you start to cure before 7 days of the buds drying... if you notice any excess condensation or mold starting to form, remove moldy buds ASAP and continue curing process..

From my experience, it's a really tough thing to figure out.. especially considering a lot of people deal with numerous strains and a lot of different growing conditions... you have to find the way that works the best for you... some people say dry/cure for 2 weeks and you good.. some say the process can take up to a month or two.. it's all in your preference...

Just try it one way and adjust... just like starting your grows.. the first grow, you go through the process as long as you are able to... adjust, and start again... and the process repeats itself...

temperature, humidity, location, and many other things play into how the bud ends up in the end... you can read all day on here about when and why to do this and that... it all comes down to you have your own seperate conditions and having your own set way of curing your buds to the best potential..

someone who tells you one thing may not be giving you the best advice... keep that in mind during your endeavours...

good luck to you my friend.. and happy smokin

Curing definatly makes a difference. If you just dry it and smoke it you will get teh chlorphile (spelling) taste which is a plant/greenish flavor. If you cure it you will get the true taste of the herb you are growing.

Ive read that peak curing time can reach up to 3 months depending on the strain, how big the buds are and how much you are curing. Personally I dry for at least 1 week to 2 weeks. Then cure for at LEAST 1.5 months. Do your research before you choose which path to go down, and make sure you understand all you are about to tred on cuz if you dont, you could say goodbye to all your hardwork due to lazy mistakes.

I hope this helps some:peace:
