my freind grew some medical he was told it was cheese weed it was grown from a seed from a outdoor crop.

cut down a plant and let its buds dry a good 4-5 days the guy used cfl.

so anyways the bud that was there kinda smells like piney/black liquice real strong i guess he used fox farm nutes slightly like grow big and big bloom soil was ocean forest with some coco .

water was not phed.

50 actual watts of cfl for flowering.

weed really stinks got a clone awhile back hope its good and smells strong like this?

I'm not one to be right, but how the hell could anyone judge a plant by its smell and growth food? I have read some places that cfl is just a ridiculous way of growing unless it is your only way of growing. The reason for this is the spectrum cfls put out are far different than your metal halides or sodium vapors and led.
Im not an expert on lights, just read a lot about them in terms of use from seedlings to veg to flower when it needs to be changed etc... So it is possible that the phenotype just expresses the smell you smell based on the lighting.
Looks like things were done ok for the medium but Im drawn to the light being a reason. ( not a bad moth pun since they love CFL's.) i suggest growing outside if the weather permits you.
The smell may be something you are after but no need to shirk a growth plan of a plant with cfl's when the sun is free.
