Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

We're not allowed to do lab tests overhere. I tried to get a cannalytics testset over, but customs returned it. That would only do cannabinoids anyway though.

That's why I mentioned price. It's the most tangible result of appreciation I can imagine.

There are plenty of threads with bud pictures here. Not sure how much that proves actually. I have had HPS grows with less than brilliant looking buds and/or monster buds. Even in the same grow. Genetics is a lot more important in that.

I like the long cola's with few leaves myself:

But you can also find pictures of fat and short Indica buds if that's your thing.
Fine Ill do it..... Fuck........

How is anyone suppose to take anything you say seriously when once again you make a completely over the top , ridiculous statement.
Also I am done here. I learned along time ago you can't argue with stupid and you sure have proven you are a prime example of stupid with just about every post.
Cheers :)
Lol, you people are a hoot. Come in here all high and mighty and when you get that you are way out of your league it's our fault for "making stuff up". We are making nothing up. There isn't a single lie here.

I used Gavita DE's until 2014 and after collecting dust for while I got rid of them. Of course I did that because leds sucked so much

It's really not that hard to do the math though, but you don;t want to do that of course. You just want to gloat at the poor delusional led growers with their made up stories. We all just sit here in our little corner making stuff up. All together like a commune making up the same story.

Anyway, don't let the door hit you on the way out. We'll just sit here making up stories about our 1.5g/W to 2g/W yields

first off, UL listed means that Underwriter's Laboratory has examined the device and declared it safe....thats all ul means....what do you think it means?
because it has nothing else to do with the efficiency of a product, whether or not that product uses top or bottom bin diodes, whether that product uses the cheapest shit ballasts or the top of the line meanwell drivers.....

Those are really nice.
I definitely have noticed a lot better growth using LEDs from my HP lights. A lot better colors and resin production.

exactly, safe to use in a home or business. Kind of an important thing, huh?

Not sure what his deal is, but I'm afraid he was intending to be on your "side"

Either way, a light manufacturer wouldn't go for that certification if they didn't think their light couldn't beat an HPS. So yes I don't think you would find one with that certification which wouldn't beat a HPS DE by a big margin.

Especially since even crappy lights like Spectrum King would easily do that, but there is at least half a dozen UL listed led lights which are even better.

The thing is, it really doesn't take a lot to beat DE HPS anymore. The efficiency of the DE bulbs looks decent at 2.1umol/s/W, but they lose 18% on the reflector and then up to 20% more on the walls. Which leaves at best 1.5umol/s/W by the time it reaches the plants.

Even the 2umol/s COB test fixture which I started with in 2015 beat the Gavita DE Pro by 30% watt for watt. Back then I went from 1200 gram per 1150W light (1.14g/W) to 1.4g/W average with COBs. Pretty much in agreement with what the specs showed the improvement would be. Current COBs and led strips are 25% more efficient still, resulting in 1.8g/W average. Although I do admit it is getting harder to keep the temps up and the humidity low.

So riddle me this - what would the uumoles efficiency have to be for a led fixture to be beating a DE at 60% of the wattage?

you finally figured that out? :dunce: you think I give a fuck what light you idiots use? I troll them because it's so easy. I have done it to them for years. Guess what, I will be here in another year with the same troll tactics and they will still be butt

I built my lights and I kept adding on over the months and have became a DIY "junky", thanks to "Growmau5",
Every time he puts a video out, I start getting "withdraws" so it's off to "Rapid LED" for my fix. lol
